Homemade Gingerbread Spice Mixture
yield: ¾ cup
Ingredients:
10 teaspoons ground cinnamon
4 teaspoons ground ginger
3 teaspoons ground cloves
3 teaspoons ground cardamom
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons ground all-spice
½ teaspoon ground black pepper (you can add more if you like)
Directions:
Put all the ingredients in a bowl or a big cup or small pot and mix everything very well. Store in an airtight container in a dry and dark place (kitchen cabinet works well!). Use according to recipes to make gingerbread cakes or cookies.
