4. data.gov.au imports Richard emailed talk-au to confirm that data.gov.au were satisfied with http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contributors#Australian_government_public_information_datasets . Negative sentiments from the expected people. While the suburb dataset can now continue to be used, the http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/ABS2006 contributor account under which it was imported under is controlled by Franc who has declined the new terms. It is also out of date. It can be removed and replaced with http://data.gov.au/dataset/state-suburbs-asgs-non-abs-structures-ed-2011/ . The LWG would prefer that this is done by the Australian community. Franc has kindly provided the original Perl importing script or it can be done with ogr2osm. |
Draft email to send to potential addresses of .yu-address account holders. This is intended for a small group of accounts that currently list an unreachable .yu address. Subject: ?
Your agreement is important to the project. Even if your contributions have been small … other contributions have been built upon them.

next bulk email for relicensing The plan is to send locallized versions, to German-speaking users first, then other languages as suitable. This will need translating. Thanks to Richard for this initial draft: Dear OpenStreetMap contributor, Your agreement is important to the project. Even if your contributions have been small … other contributions have been built upon them. So far, 99.2% of respondents have accepted the new Contributor Terms and License upgrade.

AOB - Dynamic Data (Oliver) Dynamic data is data that changes, e.g. traffic congestion, and may be generated by a third party but linked to specific points or ways using OSM data. What are the licensing considerations? We will look at this in greater detail at a future meeting but a potential general starting point is: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Open_Data_License/Metadata_Layers_-_Guideline |
