Successful Textbook Assignment

Information about the textbooks used in your course can be included in a course area. Both Digital and Print books can be added and you must list them as Required or Recommended.  Typically the textbook is assigned in the same content area where the syllabus can be found.

Add a textbook within your Course

  1. Access the content area where you want the book selection(s) to appear.

  1. Click on Partner Content. The drop-down menu will have two options: Search and Manual Entry.

  1. Fill out the Manual Entry Textbook form.

  • Textbook Information: enter a Title for textbook and a notation as to whether the text is Required or Recommended.  All other information in this section is added to help your students find the book online or in stores.

  • Textbook Image:  You may attach a file (usually the cover image) from your computer or the Content Collection.  This is also optional.  If no image is attached, an "Image Not Available" placeholder will appear next to the Textbook Information.

  • Options:  Set View, Tracking, and Time/Date options as needed.

  1. Click Submit to add textbook to the content area.
