BERLIN - The teen idol grew up. Last Friday Nick Carter (31), from the Backstreet Boys, visited KURIER editorial and shocked everyone, mainly our female workers. The singer picked up a chair and start singing without any hesitation.

With only his guitarist Mike Frank (53), Nick was being watched by a speacheless private audience while singing his first single "Just One Kiss". Realizing there were more women than men there, and that most of them should probably dreamed about getting married with him while they were just teens, Nick  was sweet enough to sing one of the Backstreet Boys greatest hits: "I Want It That Way". The man is a star to touch.

But the only one who can touch him, in privacy, is his girlfriend, a fitness trainer. "I do a lot of different sports and I like that, I thank my friends for that," says Nick. In that ways, his times of drugs and alcohol addiction are over.

About the Backstreet Boys the blond boy said: "As long as we can sing and move on, we will be doing our music.". Now he's doing his solo tour to promote his new solo work called "I'm Taking Off" (which will be released next June 3rd). Next Monday he will be presenting at Postbahnhof. Carter said: "I'm pleased to see my fans again. Some of them I know since I was 15. They are very loyal!"
