Housing Information for Summer Conferences
The College's most recent addition, Berkus Hall opened in Spring 2008. This hotel-style facility blends historic styling with modern comfort and amenities. Guest rooms include single and double occupancy suites with private baths, and are designed to offer both privacy and a sense of community. Flexible gathering spaces can be configured to accommodate various needs – from a teleconference or meeting, to a banquet. State-of-the-art technology includes wireless internet and a comprehensive selection of audiovisual equipment. Convenient on-site parking makes it possible to create a one-stop destination for your program.
Oxy’s lovely historic Spanish Revival architecture is reflected here in open courtyards, covered loggias, and tile rooftops, and a beautiful hillside setting lends a quintessential “California” feel to the site.
Each guest room is furnished with one dresser, desk, and chair per bed. Beds are California Long Twin size (suitable for one person) unless otherwise noted.
Guest rooms have carpeted floors. Lobby, lounge areas and hallways are also carpeted.
The lounge areas are furnished with many easy chairs and sofas. There is at least one laundry facility per floor.
Berkus Hall is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms.
Smoking is prohibited in all facilities, including residence halls, at Occidental College.
