“If I had my had my child to raise over again:

I’d build self-esteem first and the house later

I’d finger paint more and point the finger less

I would do less correcting and more connecting

I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes

I would care to know less and know to care more

I’d take more hikes and fly more kites

I’d stop playing serious and seriously play

I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars

I’d do more hugging and less tugging

I’d see the oak tree in the acorn more often

I would be firm less often and affirm much more

I’d model less about the love of power

And more about the power of love.”

Let’s all keep this in mind as we go through our week of challenges!!!

Weekend Challenges!

This weekend is going to be a little different so that everyone has a little “wiggle’ room on which day to do what. Your big weekend challenge is to do one DAY of outings with no phone! You can bring it along if you must, but just in case of an emergency, not for anything else! Devote your time to being present with your family and don’t allow distractions. You probably notice when someone else is messing around on their phone when you’re talking to them...and it goes the same for your children, your hubby, your parents, whoever you are with, they notice. Take the time to truly be present and there with your family. No distractions. On the other day, make sure to hug your children and give them a chance to talk to you about all the fun you’ve been having lately. What has been their favorite day/activity so far? Share what their favorite day was in a comment on the blog! Also, breakfast for dinner this week, in case you need to grab supplies this weekend :)

Monday, June 18th:

Today I want all us moms to get some pampering! Spend some time today for YOU, whether it is just reading during naptime, painting your nails, taking a bath, anything, just make sure today to fit some time in for you. As moms we devote most of our days to our family, which is great, but don’t neglect yourself either! Today take the time to fit in that something that you’ve been wanting to do! Take a nice quiet walk, read a book, anything!

Tuesday, June 19th:

PJ Day!!! Today I want you all to have some fun, relaxing day, let the kiddos wear their favorite comfy pjs and let them help you prepare breakfast for dinner this evening! Maybe try some other fun sleepover activities as well! Hope you all have a great day!

Wednesday, June 20th:

This is for all of us with more than one kiddo at home :) Today we are going to make sure to spend at least 15 minutes of individual time with our children. Make it happen, they love having time alone with you and they deserve it! Try to move your day around a bit to make it possible!!

Thursday, June 21st:

Today we’re going to make a mini fairy garden! I didn’t mention supplies because I want us to do this from what we already have :) Get creative! Get supplies from outside, etc! If you have a picture to share of your fairy garden feel free to send it in!
