Instructional Planning

Purpose:  The purpose of this assignment is to practice the “planning” process in a comprehensive way.

Project Guidelines

You will work with another colleague (s) and identify a common “unit theme” that could be taught in your future classrooms.

You are to use one or more of the following “free” sites for finding teacher materials (when you go to these sites - search for educational resources or teacher materials)

Challenge Based Learning ( Apple Education)

You will develop a “unit” of instruction -

        your unit should include

        reference to national and state standards

        a overview of the purpose / broad content to be covered in the unit.

        an outline of the daily schedule of the unit noting the key concept for each day and

        when “evaluations will occur”

Each one of your team members will develop “one” lesson plan and one assessment for the unit.

Find example already constructed lessons or ideas for your lesson plans....then create your own variation for our new lesson.

We will share our practice “units” next Monday.
