Identify relationships between community needs and community services.

 Discuss community helpers.

  1.  The teacher will ask the children if they recall some of the places they saw in their community walk.
  2. The teacher will explain that some of those places gives the community services.
  3. Have the children look at pictures and name different workers shown.
  4. Have the children describe the service each community helper provides.
  5. Talk about why community helpers are important.
  6. The teacher will point to a community helper.
  7. Have the children pantomime community helper.
  8. Have the children name the helper and the tools this worker uses.
