Collage Curios Card

Designed by Christy Fulk

Step 1

Cut a 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  Fold in half to make the card base.

Step 2

Cut a 5-1/4” x 4” piece of Raspberry Ripple card stock and a 5-1/8” x 3-7/8” piece of Print Poetry DSP.

Step 3

Insert the top, right corner of the DSP into the 1-3/8” punch by turning the punch over, inserting the corner into the circle, and putting the paper into the punch (see pictures).  Push the paper into the punch as far as it will go, and punch.  Do the same with the top, left corner.

Step 3

Step 4

Repeat Step 3 with the Raspberry Ripple card stock.

Step 5

Die-cut the long side of the DSP (opposite the rounded corners) with the Large Scallop Edgelits die.  Attach it to the Raspberry Ripple card stock, centering the top and sides of the DSP to the card stock.

Step 5

Step 6

Line up the Large Scallop Edgelit die onto the Raspberry Ripple card stock as shown below.  Run it through the Big Shot.

Step 6

Step 7

Cut a 7” piece of Raspberry Ripple Stitched satin ribbon.  Lay it onto the top of the card stock, wrapping the ends around the edges, and attaching them to the back.

Step 8

Cut a 12” piece of Raspberry Ripple Stitched satin ribbon.  Wrap the ribbon around a hair pick, bringing the ends to the right of the pick.  Make the bottom ribbon end longer than the top.

Step 8

Step 9

Bring the bottom ribbon end around to the front of the pick, and over the top ribbon end.  Then, thread it in-between the two middle pick tines, underneath the other ribbon end.  Make sure to pull on both ribbon ends to keep the ribbon tightly around the pick.

Step 9

Step 10

Thread the same ribbon end in-between the two middle tines again bringing it to the front of the pick, and over the other ribbon end.  Bringing both ends together in the front, tie them together into a single knot.  Pull the ribbon ends down.

Step 10

Step 11

Slip the ribbon off of the pick.  Trim the ends to make them the same length.  Attach to the center of the ribbon that’s wrapped around the Raspberry Ripple card stock/DSP piece with a glue dot.

Step 11

Step 12

Open the tines of the Designer Builder brad, and wrap them around the center of the bow and the ribbon behind it.  Put three glue dots onto the back of the ribbon, behind the brad.  Turn the ribbon and brad back over, and attach to the DSP.

Step 12

Step 13

Punch out a circle from another piece of Print Poetry DSP, using the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack.  Attach it to the center of the Designer Builder brad with a glue dot.  Attach one of the self-adhesive epoxy bubbles from the brad pack to the top.

Step 13

Step 14

Attach the whole piece to the front of the Crumb Cake card base.  Stamp the flag banner stamp from the “Collage Curios” stamp set along the bottom of the scallop edge, using Crumb Cake ink.

Step 14

Step 15

Stamp the script circle from the “Collage Curios” stamp set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock with Crumb Cake ink.  Stamp the ivy circle on top with Gumball Green ink.  Stamp the butterfly stamp onto the center of the circle with Raspberry Ripple ink.  Repeat four more times to make a total of five circles.

Step 15

Step 16

Punch all five out with the 3/4” circle punch.

Step 16

Step 17

Attach a medium-sized pearl from the Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each butterfly.  Attach each circle in-between each scallop on the DSP with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  Stamp the Happy Birthday ticket stamp from the “That’s the Ticket” stamp set onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock with Raspberry Ripple ink.  Punch it out with the Ticket Duo Builder punch.  Attach it at an angle below the Designer Builder brad using two Stampin’ Dimensionals.  See the picture of the completed card on the first page to see placement of items.
