ALGEBRA INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Required Supplies: Students should bring the following to class everyday.
Textbook & Planner(These will be given to students next week.)
Students need to supply:
Paper Pencil Pen BOOK COVER (size Large)
Binder or Folder for worksheets and homework Calculator

Assignment Policies:
Types of Assignments | Point Values | Can I redo it? | What resources can I use to help me? |
Daily Homework | 5-15 points per assignment.
(*When we grade in class, scores are graded out of 10. These are cut in half when Ms. Hale enters them on Skyward.) | Can redo IF: -Turned in on time and complete. -Earned a C- or lower. (7/10 or less.) -Due by Chapter Test Date | Everything. Textbook, friends, neighbors, Ms. Hale, MathLab, calculator, Internet, etc. |
Homework Quizzes *These are pop quizzes, used to check understanding of homework between Chapter Tests. | 20 points per quiz. | NO. These are never allowed to be re-taken. | Graded homework assignments, notes, class examples, calculator, and textbook. |
Chapter Tests | 50-100 points per test. | Test Correctives are able to be done to earn back ½ the points you missed. | Calculator ONLY. Occasionally a special page of notes will be allowed. |
*Extra Credit: Individual problems will be given on some assignments, quizzes, and tests. Unused SOS passes will each count for ½ of a homework assignment when turned in at the end of each quarter. No other extra credit is available. |

Chapter Projects: 20-50 points
A project will be assigned for some chapters. Rubrics and outlines for these specials projects will be described when they are assigned.
