Hello Mr. Steffens,

         I am aware that two other of my group members came to your class today, I hope that went well! I also hope that the closure of your students journals is going well! I am excited and hope that I might get to read some of their final copies! They looked to be very interesting and quite diverse as I was reading some of their work last week. Our other partner, the one which you have not met, which will be doing the technological side of our project for the most part has created a survey which we discussed would be useful when we are trying to get ideas from the students. I have attached it here and I was wondering if you might get a chance to look at it. I am not sure if it is specific enough but we were running into trouble with the level of "openness" which is left for the kids to place their input into the project topic and such so this was our starting point. If you could provide any comments or suggestions that would be wonderful! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we will discuss which days work best for us to begin coming on a weekly basis asap and get back to you. If you have any particular days (preferably 2) which would work best for you maybe please let me know. I know that I cannot do Thursdays do to the fact that I have to work from 11-1.

Once we begin coming next week regularly and really getting into the work we will be able to define a set timeline as to when and how this whole project will take place and what has to be done by what times and such. I also wanted to let you know that UF's spring break is the week of March 7th through 12th and I know that myself and Danielle will be out of town, I have not heard yet from Brittny but once we determine that I will let you know if she will be coming that week or not.

Are there any other times / days which we should be aware of that the students are out of school? I know that you are all out Monday so that will not work a day we can come next week.

As far as an update for how we might want to implement the social media project into your class time I really like the idea which we discussed as having the students make a website or blog (I believe a website might be the best option depending on what we can work out with Katie (our "tech person") in which the students strive to find and state personal connections which they make with the content within found within the constitution. Brittny and I had briefly discussed having the students pick from one of four roles, which you will see available on our survey (Technology , Research , "Tour Guide" (which we have not yet discussed the role of this person but will clarify that soon and get a better concrete idea of that persons role) ) those are the three areas we have focused on thus far. The students would each be working on the project but only on a portion which most interests them which I feel could be beneficial to all of us.

These are the ideas we have come up with thus far but we will be sitting down to discuss further what our ideas for the future are and we will get back to you on that as soon as we do so.
