Welcome to the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew

The Third Sunday after Pentecost                     25 June 2017

The flowers at Old St. Andrew’s are given by Marjorie Forbes in loving memory of Murray Forbes. The flowers at Gould Road are given by Neil Atkins in loving memory of his beloved wife Marylu. The flowers in front of the altar are given by David White in loving memory of Jane.

If you’re a newcomer, please fill in the pew card and join us for refreshments after worship.

Please sign up to help with the Summer Fair this coming Saturday, 1 July.  LAST CALL for attic treasures and books. Thursday is the absolute last day to bring in your stuff.  Please also contribute baked items including cookies and bars, breads and muffins, cakes and pies for the bake table.

Faith & Issues meets this Tuesday, 27 June at 7 pm to discuss The Book of Joy by The Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu. Faith & Issues will also meet on 25 July and 22 August.

Next Sunday we celebrate African Eucharists with Edward Kanu to support his charity African International Mission Services. There will be a chance to purchase goods during coffee hour to support children in Sierra Leone.

We host inner city kids for outdoor adventures this summer on 11-12 & 24-25 July. Help is still needed for the second trip and for breakfast at Mount Sunapee campground on Wednesday, 12 July. Sign-up sheets are in church, or you can speak with Nola Jordan, Becky Rylander, or Lisa Kelly.

Summer Cookouts take place on Wednesdays at 5:30. Bring something to grill and something to share, and relax and enjoy the company and conversation.

If you’d like to help out with UpBeat Choir Camp on 14-18 August at the Veterans’ Hall in Newbury, please let Shelly know. We need help with refreshments and escorting the kids to the little harbor beach at lunchtime.

We have teamed with LifeTouch to produce a new Saint Andrew’s Directory with pictures of our members. A good photo directory is an important resource, particularly for new members. Portrait sessions are being scheduled on

•      Thursday, July 13 from 2-9 PM

•      Friday, July 14 from 2-9 PM

            •        Saturday, July 15 from 10 AM - 4:40 PM.

Participants receive a free 8 x 10 color portrait and have the option of buying additional photos in a wide variety of sizes. Bruce Avery will be taking reservations for your portrait sessions during coffee hour after both services today and on 2 & 9 July. Reservations can also be made by contacting Bruce directly (603-748-2585 or bruceavery@tds.net). Please be ready to provide the following information: your names; number of people being photographed; your phone number (so we can make a reminder call about your appointment); and your email address. If you are unavailable on 13-15 July, please let Bruce know and he’ll give you a call when the alternative date is finalized. We get a new photo directory at no cost to the church or to you (although LifeTouch will be delighted if you decide to purchase additional prints), so PLEASE SIGN UP.

We celebrate birthdays with Jack Tate, Kent Wheeler, John Clough, Meredith Coogan, David Almond, Tyler Beck, John Chiarella.

In June we are asked to donate Large Juice (especially low sugar & 100% juice) to the KLS Community Food Pantry.
