[TC] CityDriving - Official Fine List  (Last update 2016-08-20)

It’s illegal to park:
- On the road, including curbs (except side roads)

- On grass

- On cross-hatched areas (except pits)

Stopping/halting is allowed as long the stopped car doesn't cause an immediate danger to others.

Cops may park in illegal places for purposes of traffic surveillance as long the car doesn't cause an immediate danger to others.

*See note 1

Going slower than 20 mph / 30 km/h

Going at least 10% over limit. Insim will show one red bullet. *See note 2

Examples:  cutting corners, ignoring lines, cones , barriers or traffic lights, drifting, doughnutting, all kind of stunts on the track, operating an unsafe vehicle, constantly driving backwards

Driving on the wrong side / wrong direction (Does not include overtaking (within reason), passing or evading)

Ignoring safety-distance

Organized speeding, racing for money, drag races

Whenever some other player gets actively endangered, for instance ignoring the right of way or ignoring traffic lights.

Note 1: In some cases, administrators need to park at unusual places in order to do their job. In such cases, illegal parking does not apply.

Note 2: To avoid confusions with odd conversions between mph and km/h the Insim will decide on the type of speeding offense. The tracker (police display) and the !showlaser command  will show colored bullets to indicate the offense.

One green bullet = Within the speed-limit

One orange bullet = Within the leeway (verbal warning possible)

• - •••• 1-4 red bullets = Speeding (depending on severity, roughly 100€ each)

Speeding fines:

km/h        mph        Fine                km/h        mph        Fine

<10         <6         40 €                 >70        >43        280 €

>10         >6         60 €                 >80        >50        320 €

>20        >12         80 €                 >90        >56        360 €

>30        >19        120 €                >100        >62        400 €

>40        >25        160 €                >110        >28        440 €

>50        >31        200 €                >120        >75        480 €

>60        >37        240 €

There is always a 10% leeway, so the first and second fine may be overruled, depending on the actual speed-limit on track.

Example: Speed limit is 120 km/h, leeway is 12 km/h

120-132 km/h: within 10% leeway,  133-139 km/h = 60€,  140-149 km/h = 80€ , 150-159 km/h = 120€… and so on
