I offer my obeisances to all the devotees. I want to share with you some activities of Srila Gurumaharaj in Vrindavan.  As you have already read in previous reports, Gurumaharaj keeps working at a fast pace. During this week, Gurumaharaj has been focused on three main topics:

The first is to keep up the marathon with the Oidatherapy team, because some of the main developers are here: Prabhupada dd along with Prema Mohini dd who came from Chile to support this work, Damodara lila from Belgium and Radhika Kumari who took initiation recently and joined the team. The Oidatheraphy plan is to finish the three books in Spanish and then translate them into other languages.

The Second topic that Gurumaharaj has been working on is the administration of Brahma Kunda, the beautiful lake where Sri Brahma recited the Brahma Samhita. Last year, Srila Gurumaharaj received the cultural administration of this place, to develop educational and cultural programs for the peple of Vrindavan, especially for schools. This year, Gurumaharaj has made a bigger plan, along with Gopi Priya dd, and it included the Engineering college of Bhakti Hriday Bon Maharaj here in Vrindavan. The idea is to work with Univeda, with Vaishnavism courses open to the four sampradayas.

The third topic has been the activism that Srila Gurudeva has developed in Vrindavan. As always, trying to unite people from different groups to participate in one way or another in the active protection of Sri Vrindavan.

I'm really surprised about the ability of Srila Gurumaharaj to be friends with everyone and delight all with his sincere activism to humankind. With the latest produced materials (a DVD about sacred rivers protection, developed by Srivas das from Argentina and a diptic about activism in Vrindavan designed by Vasudeva das from Sweden) Gurumaharaj has visited many people from the social elite in Vrindavan as well the most modest people. And all people appreciate him for his determined and tireless submission. And this is not easy to obtain, because in Vrindavan each organization works on its own, not as a team together with others.

Today Gurumaharaj along with a devotee commission from Vrindakunja is attending a seminar about the sacred rivers projects organized by a group of hindu women activists. In that workshop Vandana Shiva and other great personalities are participating, people very well known locally for their protection of the environment. Srila Gurumaharaj has said that this seminar is an arrangement by Krishna to distribute the materials which we have produced so far. The contribution of Srila Gurumaharaj is really appreciated; he suggested some practical points to fulfill that protection of Vrindavan.  At the end of this chat we'll share those points with all you.

Dear devotees,

At last I have arrived to my office after a long day bustling about. Today we have listened to approximately twenty lectures, each of them very important and interesting. The main theme was the protection of the sacred rivers, water and land. There were many authorities from different fields. They basically agreed on the main points. The government of India has behaved carelessly with thisproblem, which is worrying. The government is doing its duties casually, to say the truth: Kali Yuga is in full action. The kings on earth act as negligent playboys and the so called politicians elected by people become raiders of the national treasure.

To wake up the spiritual consciousness in humankind is a miracle that only Srila Prabhupada could do. What can you do when people are so far away from the truth? Sing a lot of maha mantra and distribute many books. I believe that the disciples of Srila Prabhupada do not know how they were able to abandon meat and craziness. It was the pure mercy of the prayer. The prayer of Srila Prabhupada to Krishna. Ha said that if Krishna would not help him, he would go and complain  to Srimati Radharani. According to my view, this prayer made the change into our hearts, thanks to Paramatma. People are so polluted in Kali Yuga. They kill, rape, torture themselves and others physically and psychologically. So, in order to make a big change into the heart, there should be a bit prayer. And this Prabhupada's prayer is still protecting us. Each person who reads a Prabhupadas's book is touched by this same prayer.

It was very nice to present the Audarya awards. This is a program that I have planned for almost ten years and now it has given fruits. Because there weren't any voting system working well via internet, I used the same system as in Vrinda awards, by personal interviews. Without these votes there is no impartial system to select the winners I will be accused for favouring my friends. As there are so many tricks in the world, all people suspect that all the other people want to deceive them.

For example, many people thought that the World Vaishnava Association is something that I invented for my owm personal prestige, to be able to dominate or rule over the other Vaishnava groups. Many people have understood that it is a necessary platform to protect all the Vaishnavas. The Vaishnavas image in general, so people do not look at vaishanvas as members of  a guru's arbitrary cult without religiosity. So, even when you do something for others, there are people who criticize, question and even reject you. But as Srila Prabhupada said, if there is no problem it's because you are doing nothing. And for that reason we say thanks to problems.

On the other hand, the World Vaishnava Association has given me so many friends, who are so good, and I do not deserve them. I love you so much and I am so enthusiastic knowing you are in marathon now. I would like to be with you in the marathon. Today I have distributed some.
