NUTRITION CENTER CLOSED:  Please be advised that the Nutrition Center will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday,April 18th, during mods ¾.

DIVERSITY WEEK FAIR: In celebration of diversity week the movie “Where Hope Grows” will be screened in the LGI during mods 9-12 today. Stop in during your lunch mods for some snacks and a great movie!! Don’t forget, tomorrow during lunch mods, a Diversity Fair will be held in the theater lobby, and a panel will be held during mods 9-10 in the LGI. Please remember that food and personal care items will also be collected throughout the week for the South Hills Interfaith movement. All donations can be brought to the main office through Friday and a list of items needed can be found by the donation box.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:  Many local scholarships are available. Here are just a few that may be accessed in the Scholarship section of Naviance.

William A Pope, PhD. Scholarship: For a graduation senior planning a post-high school education program;  must demonstrate willingness to help others through volunteerism.

Pride of the Panthers Scholarships: Must have participated in at least 2 sports (including varsity and club); and involved in a variety of activities.

USC ESPA/PSEA Transportation Scholarship: Scholarship being offered by the bus drivers attendants of USCSD to any USC student who is going to further his/her education.

Paul Wildenhain Memorial Scholarship for Math and Physics: Scholarship for a USC student who plans to study mathematics and/or Physics in College.

Teresa Fox Memorial Scholarships: Two $250 scholarships will be awarded - one to a student who has overcome a disability and the other to a student hoping to teach special education.

UPPER ST. CLAIR EDUCATION ASSOCIATION: Attention Seniors: If you are considering pursuing an education degree in college next year, the Upper St. clair Education Association is offering a $2,000.00 scholarship for your first year of college. Applications are now available in the Guidance Counselors’ Office and online. Deadline for submitting the application is April 25th.

 THE ELLIE BATZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Attention Seniors: The Ellie Batz Memorial Scholarship is presented to a graduating Senior with exceptional talent in music, dance, theatre and/or art. Seniors who have been accepted to a college or university with a major or minor in the performing or theatre arts and have participated in the spring musical or fall play for at least two years may apply. Forms are available in the Band and Counseling Offices, and are due to Counseling by May 2 at 12 noon.

 UNICEF USA SPRING FUNDRAISER: Please support our Unicef Spring Fundraiser! The UNICEF Club invites you to visit the UNICEF SHOP@USC kiosk outside the nutrition center during lunch mods April 16 - 20, to view SHOP@USC items that have been created with the UNICEF logo. By ordering these items, you are supporting UNICEF’s mission to help needy children throughout the world, particularly in war torn areas like Syria. Please stop by and order any of the displayed items. They will then be delivered to you in homeroom in a week or two. All proceeds benefit the UNICEF USA fund.
