Web Site Stats

The new web site has been running since July 2011 and to date has attracted 74,443 Visits during that time with 24,856 unique visitors looking up nearly 240,000 pages of information during that time (As shown below). Outside Ireland the UK and US have been the largest viewers with the Top 10 countries listed below. As some of our content like the senior draws etc are based on cloud servers like with Goggle Docs then some of these page views do not show up in the stats and would be fairly substantial.

Please Note:  Most sites will quote HITS which is very misleading to build the stats up to look more impressive, for example if a page has 20 pictures on it, then just loading that page would result in 21 HITS minimum, so page views and visits are a more accurate way of representing the activity on the site.

We have 24 people set up with access to publish stories on the site and would welcome more. Anyone that might be interested in submitting their own club news or willing to write a blog on the site is asked to contact any committee member and we will sort out access and show you how to use the very simple editor to upload content.

We are looking at updating the overall design of the site over the summer to improve it again and make it easier to manage and any idea’s for content or features are welcome.
