Open Control Panel and open the Mail icon. If you do not see the mail icon, change your view from Category to Small icons. Click on the Show Profiles button.
On the following screen, select the option to Prompt for a profile to be used and click the Add button.
On the New Profile screen, enter a name for the profile such as Local PST, or Local Folders and click OK.
When you click OK, the Add New E-mail Account window will appear. Click the Cancel button.
When you click Cancel, you will receive the following message. Click OK.
Start Outlook and select the new profile. The Outlook 2007 Startup window will appear. Click Cancel.
On the Cancel Configuration window, Select to Continue with no e-mail support and click Finish.
Now, within Outlook, Click File, Open, Outlook Data File. Select the users PST file.
For subsequent access, open Outlook and select the new profile. The PST file will already be visible.
