PROCESS PAPER: 3D vs Time
I was always interested in the Sciences, specifically Physics. When I first approached this project I sat and thought about what I wanted to do with what I love but also tie it in what needed to be done, the history aspect. History is not my weak subject but I find it difficult to comprehend at times, so that is why I decided to give a twist and tie in Revolutionary Science. Then I began to think to myself, “Who are the most different but similar scientists who changed the world?” and I automatically responded with Einstein and Newton. Einstein and Newton are profound scientists of different time eras but both changed the world in different ways.
I conducted several different stages for my research. First, I searched facts about both scientists’ lifetime to compare and contrast the history aspects of their discoveries. Then, I focused in on the present time and how their findings and discoveries furthers research today. I found several primary sources and many more secondary sources to provide myself with beneficial information to give both my inferences and facts about the topics. Finally, I then constructed questions about how their findings first confused people and why which then lead my to creating a statement to be focused on Einstein and how his discoveries furthers science in 2012.
I wanted to indulge my audience in something interesting. I work very well with piecing together different elements to combine them into one. I felt as though a documentary would be in my best interest because I like being creative with constant motion of flow rather than just a website or any other option. I created my project by setting a time line of how all my components would relate back to the initial theme along with interviews, facts, and images.
My documentary relates to the NHD theme in many different ways. Revolution, Reaction, and Reform flow throughout my documentary based of the flow of facts, insights, and images. In my documentary I specifically demonstrated revolution as the shift between Newtonian Physics and Einstein Relativity, reaction as people’s dis-beliefs along with their confusions, and reform as the changes that the discoveries made in science in which are now taken into effect. I focused on Einstein as the main aspect for he changed and sculpted the world with showing people that it is the fourth dimension which lead to projects and experiments furthering his ideas.

This book “Principia” written by Sir Isaac Newton was interesting. Principia went over many concepts of math articulations such as forming calculus and how it applies in everyday life along with gravity. I read a few pages of this book and provided facts along with my findings in both my paper and documentary. I found, within my readings, that this book was a different approach to show people of his time that physics is important.
This source is a PDF of a New York Times article about Albert Einstein. This pdf provides a brief summary about Albert Einstein and his founding furthering the works of others (scientists). I used this pdf to provide myself with essential facts about the historical aspects of Einstein throughout my documentary.
