Beating the Odds: Prayers for J. Feeley

Strength

Hey, everyone!

Though Joe isn't in nearly as much pain now, he's having a really tough time with the side effects of the chemo drugs. While his pain was truly awful, chemo has left him feeling completely wiped out, and almost unable to fight the cancer in his body. He knows—as we all do—that he can fight and beat Ewings, but he's having such a hard feeling able to actually do so right now.

We're hoping and praying that this is the worst of his journey towards recovery. We're praying that the chills that at times rack his entire body will stop, and he will be able to stay warm.

We're praying that God will give Joe the strength that he needs to get through this enormous trial; in Joe's words, he asks us to "just pray for strength cuz I'm feelin weak right now."

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG." 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
