Agreements:

The general role of the Site Council is to inform school improvement efforts through the inclusion of broad perspectives -- teacher, classified, parents, administration.  These efforts may impact the health and safety of the school, curricular efforts, and professional development.

Membership:

Site Council will be composed of three certified staff, three parents, at least one classified staff member, and an administrator.

Teachers and parents will rotate off after a three year term, thus keeping a fresh rotation of perspectives.

Meetings:

Meetings will occur monthly, on the second Tuesday of the month, from 2:30-3:30 pm.  Meetings will last one hour.

Meetings will begin with a review and approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and a preview of the agenda for the current meeting.

Agendas:

Roles will be assigned, to include recorder, facilitator, time-keeper, and bringer of the food.  Ideally, leadership of the group does not rest solely on the administrator.
