Dear Second Grade Families,
Welcome to a new school year! I can’t wait to get to know all of you this year. I wanted to introduce myself, and give you some information about the start of school.
This is my 14th year teaching. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!). My husband and I have three children, Noah (8), Colin (5), and Evan (1), and two dogs, Murphy (a chocolate lab), and Luly (a labradoodle). We have enjoyed our summer, but are ready to be back at school.
This year we will continue with Reading Street as our program for reading. Everyday Math continues to be our support program for math.
We start this year without busing, specials, and a shortened school day. It’s going to be a bit crazy for the first month or so, so please be patient with us until we get used to new procedures and new schedules.
The best way to reach me is through email (heltzer_t@westcler.org), or by sending a note in with your child. I also have voicemail at 943-3826.
Your child will be bringing home a packet of information and forms that need to be filled out and returned. If your have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask or let me know. Let’s have a great year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Heltzer
