- The teacher will explain that they will learn about the objects by looking at them and touching them.
- Have the children look at the objects and name them.
- Have the children review the names of the objects on the Chart.
- Have the children name and describe the objects on the chart by size, color and shape in complete sentences.
- Have the children touch the objects on the table.
- Ask: What else can you tell about the object? What else did you learn about ________by touching it? Why?
- Repeat children’s answer in complete sentences.
- Write descriptive words on the board.
- Have the children compare and contrast the different objects.
- Ask: How are the cotton balls and the rock alike? How are they different?
