Digital stories should include:

• Introduction

• should be a welcome message to the viewer
• should include the title of the story
• introduce the topic of the movie
• should include a text slide or image

• Images

• should be clear
• should go along with story
• should not have a watermark image

• Music

• appropriate for the theme or mood of the story
• throughout the story

• Captions

• should be created with MS PowerPoint
• should be visible (color and placement)
• size should be large enough to be read
• correct spelling
• wording should be clear and understandable

• Narration (If Included)

• should be planned out and prepared
• should be serious, interesting and professionally done
• spoken clearly, audibly, and slowly
• should be no more than 10 seconds per slide
• should go along with images

• Closing

• should have a summative statement (e.g. “I hope you enjoyed my digital story”, “Thank you for watching my digital story”)
• Closing image or text slide
• Credits (i.e. the person who created the story, where the information was obtained)
