Why do scientist use different tools? 

- Read Aloud

-  Whole Group: Discuss the following tools: magnifying lens, goggles, microscope, clock, scissors, measuring cup, ruler, balance, thermometer.

- Whole Group: Children will use pictures to identify different tools used to observe, measure and investigate.

- Pair Share: Children will discuss how scientists use lenses to help them see things they cannot see with their eyes alone.

- Small Group: Children will explore with a magnifying glass to look at simple objects around the classroom.
