Truant – Not as a primary ability, obviously.

Telepathy – Useless.

Tangled Feet – Confusion is rare and the effect is minuscule.

Swarm* – We will never Sketch a bug move as coverage, but this’ll restrict our ability to give it bug moves in its base movepool.

Steadfast – This should be perfectly fine. Hydreigon, Jirachi and Togekiss beat it regardless of flinch, we’re Fake Out immune, we’re faster than Mamoswine, and we generally force out the rare Rock Side users anyway

Stall – Not as a primary ability.

Slow Start – Not as a primary ability.

Run Away – Useless.

Rivalry* – If we are mono gender, this is particularly notable, as it’s actually a hindrance (in a CAP2 meta everything that could change its gender would). Only potentially non-competitive if we are mono-gender, and not as a primary ability.

Plus – Useless.

Pickup – Useless.

Own Tempo – We’re immune to DynamicPunch and there is no way we are switching in on a Hurricane user. Nothing uses Confuse Ray in the current meta.

Oblivious – Nothing uses Attract or Captivate or Cute Charm.

Normalize – Paralysing grounds and Jolteon is something we can already do with Glare. The only remotely viable use I can find is a Spore not resisted by Sap Sipper Bouffalant, otherwise it’s a hindrance. We need offensive coverage. Not as a primary ability.

Moody – Only because it’s banned. Not as a primary ability.

Minus – Useless.

Magma Armor – Freeze is too rare, we generally beat Bulky Waters and die to Blizzard anyway.

Liquid Ooze – Immune to Drain Punch and Leech Seed, nobody is using Giga Drain on us.

Light Metal – Resistant to Low Kick and Grass Knot anyway, almost nothing uses Heat Crash and Heavy Slam. Still, it’s irrelevant until we decide Weight no matter what.

Keen Eye – Effectively useless.

Inner Focus* – A bit more iffy than Steadfast, as it actually prevents flinching altogether, but we’re still indifferent towards flinch.

Honey Gather – Useless.

Healer – Useless.

Heavy Metal - Resistant to Low Kick and Grass Knot anyway, almost nothing uses Heat Crash and Heavy Slam. Still, it’s irrelevant until we decide Weight no matter what.

Friend Guard – Useless.

Defeatist – Not as a primary ability.

Damp – Immune to Selfdestruct and Explosion anyway, only Skuntank uses Afermath.

Cute Charm* – Again, only potentially non-competitive if we are mono-gender. Being able to attract others is still more competitive than avoiding attraction, though, as nobody else is actively trying to Attract anyone.

Anger Point * - Contentious. Chance is low, but it depends what you think. We’re usually dieing to crits anyway and it doesn’t work with sub any more.

*Conditionally Non-Competitive
