                                                   PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

It’s the first rally event from NGR! It’s the Eiger Rally 2012! For the average rally fan, this could be exciting. This rally will have maximum of 12 teams (12 drivers, with their co-drivers), and 8 special stages. The rally will be done in 3 days, hopefully, about an hour or two is spent each day. But before I get in the details, I need to mention the race regulations and settings.

                      - - Regulations & infO - -

First up are the car regulations (Now no arguing that the regulations aren’t fair or it’s too low!):

Now here are the event settings:

*These are the base regulations, which applies to all car divisions

DIVISIONS: In this rally, we have 3 divisions. The WRCC 2000, WRCC 1990, and GTRMRC. WRCC 2000, World Rally Championship Car 2000, is the division that is for rally cars that have been in the WRC, manufactured in 2000 or later. WRCC 1990 is the exact same, though it’s is for cars manufactured in 1990 - 1999. GTRMRC, Gran Turismo Race Modified Rally cars, is for modified cars in Gran Turismo 5. Currently, there are only two cars that are eligible. Those are the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution TC (As received in a previous update), and the Subaru Impreza STI RM car.

This was created to separate the differences between different cars competing. The division with the most wins will be named the winner of the rally.

NGRRC: There is possibility that there will be more rallies during 2012, and becoming a championship. If this succeeds, it will be called NGRRC, NGR Rally Championship. The NGRRC is still into development, so it is still unconfirmed it will launch in 2012. If not, it will launch in 2013. For more information, please contact NFSGUY, or ENDURANCEGUY in GTPlanet.

If you think these regulations are too strict, say to yourself what is a rally event supposed to be( I don’t have time for arguments!!!!). So, if you are piped up to know what the courses, info and extras are, I’ll just put them up NOW! (So you don’t explode!)

                                 - - Day 1 - -

Day one will be the big day. Drivers are ready and waiting to win. Though, before they get on the track, the eager drivers and co-drivers will need to wait. First thing is the opening ceremony, which I will announce the competitors, info etc. After that, we get on the track!

SS1 is based on the first 4 sectors of the Eiger Nordwand K Trail.

   Now here’s SS2:

SS2 is based on the last two sectors before the finish. Here, you’ll need full good handling for the tight corners that await you. So stay focused! After all drivers have finished, there will be an end day results. The end day results are just a check of the driver’s SS times and overall times.

                               - - Day 2 - -

SS3 is based on the first two sectors of the Eiger Nordwand G Trail. Handling is key to win this Special Stage! Either that or you’ll fall off! Next is SS4:

SS4 is set up on the most hardest turns on the Eiger Nordwand G Trail. Full concentration is goal for all drivers. Lose focus, and you’ll be in the dumps! Last of day 2 is:

SS5 is the last, but not final, stage of the day. This is probably one of the easiest ones, if not THE easiest. So what else is there to say? After this, an end day results will be performed. Then all drivers will take rest and hope that they win!!!

                               - - day 3 - -

Ah, the final day. Here’s where your skill is put the most. Prepare for aching hands! Next is:

SS6 is one of the Special Stages that requires you to pay attention of the corners! Don’t listen, don’t finish. It’s as simple as that! Next up:

SS7 is the last Special Stage of the W Trail. Here is where you take the corners as if you were are stuntman! (Show off) But don’t be too distracted! You gotta go quick! Next:

SS8, the last and final stage. Here you’ll be taking on the WHOLE Eiger Nordwand K Trail. So if you want to win, make this your best! Then finally, everyone has finished. Probably a couple have retired, but at least they tried, hopefully. Then finally, an CLOSING CEREMONY is performed. That is where I announce the winners of the Eiger Rally 2012! Good day to all you competitors!

Now here are the entries: (Starting position is determined by date of sign up)

                         - - SeSSions - -

Now in order to have a good time at the Eiger Rally 2012, it’s best to understand what will happen during and in between drives. This makes you think more about the rally, other than what is next. Now here, I’ll will go over the calendar. Events are explained in DETAIL, so this is one of the most important piece of information. Also, other info will be presented, which will appear at first. Here we go:

TERMS, RULES, BEHAVIOR ETC.: The Eiger Rally 2012 run by NGR, is suppose and is to be an event that is as realistic as possible. So we do not want people quitting to repair their car automatically. If you do, we will, without warning, disqualify you and you will be kicked. Meaning that you will be marked as RETIRED. We also ask that you DO NOT cheat. Any cheating that is spotted will be disqualified, kicked, and marked as RETIRED. Just as most room hosts do not want, is lagging drivers. Before entering, please message me (NFSGUY) you NAT Type, and bandwidth level. We do not want lagging, which causes for false times. Finally, PLEASE be a good sportsman. Show good sportsmanship.  As with the WRC, we will have a PARC FERME at the end of each day, and SERVICE PARK. Service parks is a special time where you are allowed to exit the track, and tune your car, or fix damage. The amount of time spent in the Service Park will be used as a time penalty.

DRIVERS AND CO-DRIVERS: Each competitor will create a name for the team they are racing for (You can name your team anything! Just make sure it’s appropiate). The name may either be created by the driver or co-driver. But you may be a bit confused about these drivers. That’s what I’m going to explain! A driver is, without doubt, REQUIRED. Though a co-driver is not required, but is RECOMMENDED. The co-driver must be a friend of the driver who is able to be with you, meaning using only one PSN account. Here what I mean:

Minimum team size:

1 driver

1 PS3 with GT5 and PSN account (Mic is optional, but is recommended)

RECOMMENDED team size:

1 driver

1 co-driver

1 PS3 with GT5 and PSN account (Mic required!)

We do ask that you stay in the rally at all times, and do not leave! DO NOT LEAVE!

RACE DAYS: DAY 1: Day 1 is the main start of the Eiger Rally 2012. Once all competitors have entered NFSGUY’s (ME!) lounge, the event will officially commence. Before the official start time of the rally, we will have a Track Run. THis is where drivers may drive around and show off. At first, we have the OPENING CEREMONY. This will be the session which I will announce the drivers, by starting position. Countries, team names, and REAL names are presented here (Just your first initial of your first name and full last name. For example: Derek Marringtons would be D. Marringtons). Hopefully, we have a vast range of competitors around the world. After that, drivers will line up, by their starting order. Now let the race commence! At the end, we will have our END DAY RESULTS. This is when I will announce the stats of drivers and their current times, as with their overall time. Day 2 and 3 will be similar, except no OPENING CEREMONY and track run. Though on Day 3, we will have a CLOSING CEREMONY. This is when we announce the winners and close the rally.

POSITIONS: Ok, so you might be wondering if there is any rewards and/or rewards after finishing the rally in 3rd or better. Well good news! THERE IS!!! Here’s a chart of prizes:

  1. Latest NGR Rally Concept Car / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 1st Winner Award
  2. Random Rally car / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 2nd Winner Award
  3. Paint: Flip Flop Yellow / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 3rd Winner Award
  4. No reward / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 4th Competitor Award
  5. No reward / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 5th Competitor Award

All other competitors receive: No reward / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 Competitor Award

NOTE: Any driver who has received a penalty will still receive an award. Respectively retired drivers will receive: No reward / NGR: Eiger Rally 2012 Participation Award. Any un-respectively (retired because of cheating etc.) retired drivers will NOT receive an award/reward.

RETIREMENTS: Retiring from the rally will mean you have quit from participating from the rally. But some may think: ‘how and when may I retire?’ Well, in order to retire, you need a good reason. Acceptable reasons are mechanical damage (ONLY when you can barely drive your car), connection problems, health problems (heart attacks, strokes etc.) and connection lost. If you are choosing to retire and it is not one of these reasons, you’ll need to persuade me why. Other than that, you are expected to complete the race. Though there is reasons that you will retire automatically. Cheating etc. is a big no-no, and you’ll be FORCED to retire.

PENALTIES: Ok, in this rally, there is penalties. These penalties DO NOT represent that you’ve been ILLEGALLY cheating. Penalties here, are for legally cheating, or doing prohibited things. Time will be added to your race time. So if you had 1:45:90, and a PT (Penalty time) of 3:00:00, your time will be 4:45:90. This is the list of penalties obtainable in race:

- Idling (The driver either idles at start, or just stops mid drive. Time spent idling will be doubled as a time penalty. So: 20 seconds idling would be 40 seconds penalty)

- Excessive angles (The driver, somehow, has the car in an angle that is greater than 180 degrees. Penalty time: 30 sec

- On-track flip (The driver, somehow, flips his car 360 degrees. Penalty doubled by number of flips. 1 flip: 30 seconds, 2 flips: 1 minute, 3 flips: 2 minutes etc.)

- Wall Collision (The driver collides with the wall. Speeds determine penalty time. 20-50 km/h: 10 seconds, 50-100 km/h: 30 seconds, +110 km/h: 1 minute)

- Excessive use of handbrake (Driver uses the handbrake for a long period of time before sliding. Penalty given when driver holds on for more than 5 seconds. Penalty: 10 seconds)

RACING GEAR: In this rally, NGR restricts that you must wear the Safari (Arai) helmet of your choice. Though your suit may be the manufacturer of your choice (AlpineStars and Sparco), but must have the colour of your car manufacturer. Check this document to see a list of the official manufacturer colours. (Unfinished)

SUPE-RALLY: As in the WRC, there is a Supe-Rally. This allows drivers who retire on the first or second day of the event, to compete again in the following day. Although, you will receive a time penalty of 5 minutes. It is required that you come the following day, or you will be marked as RETIRED.
