Mamal’s Sausage Balls

For the Sausage Balls:

2 lbs Mild Ground Sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)

2 Beaten Eggs

1 cups Bread Crumbs

2/3 cups Milk

1 tsp Sage

-Preheat oven to 350*

-Combine above ingredients in a stand mixer, or by hand.

-Roll into 1 inch balls, and place on greased cookie sheet.

-Bake for 20-25 minutes

For the Sauce:

1 1/2 cups Water

3/4 cups Ketchup

8 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons vinegar

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (if you can find it, use “Open Pit” brand)

1/4 cup Honey

-Add all ingredients to a saucepan

-Bring to a simmer, while whisking

-Allow to simmer about 5 minutes

-Add in baked meatballs, and stir around for about 5 more minutes

-Serve
