Gintare

I like using google docs in my classes for student information or assessment

Mary

I have wanted to use google doc but i am afraid.

It seems so good. I’ll try it.

I think hangouts are so interesting.

Dania Rosales

It is good to use some blogging, although google docs is great for elaborating works in groups. Dropbox is very useful, too.

I just tweeted and quoted you: “Good learning is messy”. שלום לכולם מבית שמש!

Hi, I saw Moshe Chasid present this idea, great.  It also works well with google presentation.  It’s easier if you open a paragraph with each students name.

We used it to put together  a presentation on Rabbi Uziel

Noemi Szoychen

Awesome tool! Great learning by interacting with you. Kol hakavod!

using facebook- make profiles for parshanim and Rabanim. students will gain understanding of the parshans tkufa as wel by “friending” only those other parshanim/ rabanim who are at their time. ways to divide opinions learning gemara as well.

Rhina Lopez

It has given me more ideas for my virtual classes, thanks a lot

Esther Lewars

I’ve explored using Edmodo with several 8th grade classes; the tools shared here have been great - I will encourage my teachers to seriously integrate at least one of the tools.

claudia Suarez

It has been great to know about more tools to include in our classes.

Barbara Hoffman

We used Google Doc yesterday in our school for emergency purposes and had 250 students online at the same time. The students were working from their homes and we could see who was participating in the exercises in real time. Great Tool!

I think It is a great tool to use with students to facilitate their learning and make them more engaged to work together..

I know I am late to this class, so I took in the webinar all at one go!  It was like eating chocolate pudding with a toothpick! Messy-just like Rabbi Pittinsky said.It was quite rich in content, and I found that the interactive nature was like an involved conversation.  I found the ideas were coming quickly throughout.  I am excited by the iPad donation to the students and wonder how it is going!  Is it as intuitive as the video makes it look? In my classes, not all the students have computers, but I would still like to try anyway with some of these ideas!

I used to hear about google docs but I came face to face with the beauty and use of it when I did the course Teaching and learning in the information age. And I am still amazed by it use and just want to learn more. I strongly believe that tools like these can transform the teaching/learning process in the classroom not only for the students but for the teacher. These types of tools can help teachers to be as creative as they can and the best part is students’ involvement and heightened interest in the subject matter.

Google Apps is a wonderful cloud apps that can enhance collaborative learning or reporting among learners/colleagues but like all cloud service it need the Internet to be on all the time. This cannot be guaranteed in the part of the world I’m living for now i.e Ghana. Internet is very very expensive. My university pays $ 20,000.00(USD) for DS-3 (= T3 = 45 mbps) per month.

Thus I am reluctant in using it for now. I hope there could be an add-on that will make is possible to use it offline and when connectivity is restored automatically update the version on online. 08/11/2013

I love the diversity of technology presented in this webinar… although I think I hate elluminate live!

I am particularly intrigued by the examples of technology in action that were presented - the Frisch students are certainly gaining an enormous amount on so many levels from the dynamic and forward thinking teaching methodologies.

Prior to listening to this webinar, I wasn’t entirely convinced of the value of wikis in the classroom. I think after seeing the way that they have been used I am a convert and I can definitely appreciate their potential for developing critical thinking in students.

I am also particularly fascinated by some of the other applications - the use of google maps especially in the context of history and biblical text study seems an incredibly captivating way to convey the context and atmosphere of an historical period.
