Visual Arts: As a sole proprietor of Variat Productions, I provide visual entertainment  by generating and projecting computer graphics to accompany music during a  live performance.    Strong musical background  makes  musically related tasks much more fluid.  During this time also developed skills in setting up stage equipment, mounting speakers and lights for live events and safety standards and practices.

As the only employee in the company, handled all aspects of Variat Productions.  Purchasing and building visual arts equipment, running several cameras and projectors, creating digital graphics material to be used during the shows.  Settting up and testing equipment, creating live effects used with cameras.  Keeping track of all equipment as well  as spare parts.

Nortel Technician - Voice and Data Services (Jan 2007 - Dec 2010)

Working at the Clorox Company’s headquarters in Oakland, CA

Worked as a Voice Network technician and maintained the Nortel Option 81 switch.  Also maintained an OCTEL Voicemail server.  Performed telephone repairs and setup Polycom video conferencing equipment.   Responsible for installing new phones,  moving phones, resolving user phone problems, work order documentation, time billing and database upkeep.

Working at the Hewlett Packard Corporation

Performed as an in-house network technician at the Hewlett Packard Cupertino North campus which consists of ten three-story buildings containing 1,000+ network end points. Performed computer assistance and resolved computer help desk issues.

Contract employee to prepare 20 public schools in Oakland California for cut-over to T1 generated dial tone. Duties included locating and identifying all existing lines that entered the main buildings as well as single drops on remote buildings. Installed 25-pair and 50-pair feeder cables between satellite terminals. Also cross connected and soft punched all the circuits on RJ21X blocks for the cut-over. Much of the work included providing assistance and support for primary contractor Teleport Communications Group, Inc. Performed solo cutovers and assisted the school personnel on the use of their new telephone service.
