The Clans

The Clans are the division of thoughts and beliefs between clans, and even training and hunting styles since the terrains that they reside in are quite different. Also, since they can fly, their territories are quite large. Though even within their borders there are places that they dare not go.

Emerald Clan

This Clan has found its pride in the Earth. Learning the ways of the land, working with it, not against it. It is said, that the eldest of ancestors of this clan had once found a way to grow food from the fertile soils that they reside on. But the practice has long since been a lost art and would have to be revived.

These dragons of the Earth tend to be more muscular in build as they train against the very stone and earth. Their scales tend to be colors of Green, Deep Red, Rust, Brown, and Black. Their wings seem small in comparison to the rest of their bodies and contributes to their slower speeds in the air. But when on the ground, between dragons, they are the best of the best.

Sapphire Clan

This Clan has found its pride in the Waters. Be it Ocean, River, or Lake, they find it easy to hunt for prey. Their belief is that they evolved from creatures of the sea. Their lungs having the capacity to allow them to swim underwater for quite a while, depending on the size of the dragon.

These dragons of Water tend to be of medium build, and have webbed claws. Their wing size matches their body length almost all the time. Their scales tend to be colors of Deep Blue, Light Blue,Deep Purple, White, Light Pink, Teal/Seafoam, and Grey. When it comes to combat, they prefer to drag their prey or opponents into the water where they have the advantage.

White Pearl

This Clan has found its pride in the Air. Making their home on the high mountains, they hunt from the air. They sharpen their claws against the hard stone of an extinct volcano. The clan has the belief that their clan was the clan that saved the earth from melting in the fire mud by flying continuously bringing colder air to harden the top of the volcano faster.

These dragons of Air tend to be lean, and on the smaller side. Built for aerodynamics and have slightly larger wings. The scales of these dragons tend to be light in color, Pink, Light blue, Sky Blue, Light Green, Pearlescent White, Light Grey, and Light Purple. When a dragon meets this clan in battle, they don’t want to be caught in the air with them.

Blood Onyx

This clan has found its pride in Blood. This clan has refused Water, and Air. Claiming both elements to be extremely precious to the point that they are sacred. They have locked themselves away in lands that seem like hell to the other clans. Harsh heat, hot sand, little water, and one more thing that sets them apart. When becoming a second phase Apprentice in this clan, they must have their wings removed, or be banished from the clan.

These Dragons of Blood are sick and twisted, and when taking prisoners of battle, they have been known to remove wings from other clans dragons as pay back if one of their clan mates was killed by said dragon. The color of their scales tend to be Blood Red, Black, Dark Grey, Maroon, Dark Orange and Faded Yellow. These dragons vary in size but are typically bulkier in build and seem larger than most of the other clans.

Outside the Clans

There are also wild dragons and dragons that are owned by two-legs (humans). Some owned by two-legs are forced to live with them while others are loved and cared for like actual pets. These dragons are able to join in with other clans if they wish to escape from their easy or mind damaging life. Dragons owned by two-legs are called drake-pets and it’s considered an insult if used to call a clan Dragon as such.

The Sentinel Code

2) Do not hunt or trespass on another clan's territory.

3) Elders and dragonlings must be fed before Sentinels and apprentices. Unless they are given permission. Apprentices must hunt to feed the elders before they can eat.

4) Prey is killed only to be eaten.

5) Dragonlings must be 4 moons before becoming an apprentice.

6) Newly appointed warriors must keep a silent vigil for one night after they received their warrior name.

7) A dragon can not be made deputy until they have mentored at least one apprentice.

8) A clan deputy is made leader if the leader dies or retires.

9) If the deputy dies or retires then a new one must be assigned before moon-high.

10) Clan gatherings are held at the full moon. No fighting must be done at this time as there is a truce between the clans.
