KISD Workshop - Quick GeoGebra Reflection

1) Can GeoGebra be useful to you for your teaching?  How or why not?

- Yes, I think that there it is very intuitive--much more so than the Sketchpad (outdated) that I use these days.  I also like that you can create your own ‘mini applet’ that allows students to explore without having to create something new.

-yes, I already found 2 lessons I will use it for- both in Algebra 2; one for regressions, and the other in statistics figuring mean, median, standard deviation etc

-This will great for my Algebra 2 classes since the majority of them do not have graphing calculators.

- absolutely, Thank you so much. It makes the Unit Circle understandable.

- It’s amazing that most of the standards can be demonstrated here.

2) What would help support you in your use of GeoGebra?

- Just more practice with GeoGebra to becomes more familiar.

- Another workshop at GVSU like this past summer would be great

-Is there a version of GeoGebra in Spanish?

-Getting more familiar with its features- I will also suggest it to our Geometry teacher and we can teach ourselves more how to use it for the specific class we teach

-Is it possible for John to come to my school to do an introductory class for my students?

-Premade analysis questions

-More time

3)  What would you do to improve the quick introduction to GeoGebra?

- Have multiple John’s available

- Add math websites that use Geogebra as links

- nothing, any more information would be to much. :)

-More time
