ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF R.I. , ASST. R.I. AND AMIN IN RAYAGADA DISTRICT.

        Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates of Rayagada District only for filling up following categories of Revenue Field staff posts in Rayagada District under the administrative control of Collector, Rayagada in the Pay Band with Grade pay mentioned against each post including other allowances as admissible to the State Government employees from time to time.  One Examination for the post of R.I. and a Combined Examination for the post of Amin/A.R.I. will be conducted. The candidates must send their applications separately for each category of vacancy.  The category wise vacancies are as mentioned below.

N:B: Above vacancy includes backlog.  The vacancies meant for women candidates in all categories would be filled up by Male Candidates, if suitable women candidates are not available/qualified. The vacancies shall be reserved for women/ex-servicemen/candidates belonging to socially and educationally backward class/Physically handicapped(P W D) and Sports Person if they have the ability for walking, cycling and writing, as per the policy of the Government.

(1)        Eligibility Criteria:

(a)        He/She must be a citizen of India. (b)He/She must be a permanent resident of Rayagada District (c) He/She must be below 32 years and over 20 years of age on Ist day of January’2011.  The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes, scheduled Tribes, Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, Women and Eligible Ex-Servicemen(d) (i) He/She must have passed a Bachelor Degree Examination in Arts/Commerce/Science including Bachelor in Business Administration or Bachelor in computer Application or equivalent there to from a recognized

University and must possess knowledge in computer operation in case of Revenue Inspector(ii)He/she must have

passed a Higher Secondary (10+2) conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or  equivalent thereto from a recognized board and must possess knowledge in computer operation in case of Amin and Asst. Revenue Inspector(e)He/She must be of good character and shall furnish a certificate of good character from the Head of the institution in which he/she last studied. (f) He/She must be of Sound health, good physique and active habits and free from organic defects, physical and mental infirmity and must qualify in the test of physical fitness.  In order to qualify in the test of physical fitness a candidate (i) if a male, must not be less than 160 centimeters(155 centimeters in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes)  in height and 80 centimeters round the chest. (ii) if a women, must not be less than 150 centimeters(145 in centimeters in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes)  in height and (iii) must be knowing cycling and swimming (g) He/She must not be having more than one spouse living (h) He/She must be able to speak, read and write Oriya and must have passed High School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination through Oriya medium(i) He/She must have registered his/her name in Employment Exchange of Rayagada District on or before the date of submission of application.(J)He/She must not have debarred for appearing in any other competitive examination or from holding Govt. Service as ordered by any competent authority.

(II)        No application except in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category shall be considered unless it is accompanied by the examination fees in shape of A/C Paye Bank Drafts amounting to Rs.75/- (Seventy five) only in favour of Deputy Collector, Nizarat,  Collectorate, Rayagada payble at Rayagada which will not be refundable.

(III)        Candidates who have rendered not less than five years of actual service (in the regular or Job-Contract establishment) in the rank of Amin or in ranks equivalent or higher thereto in Settlement/Consolidation Organization and Candidates who have passed the All-India Trade Test in Surveyor Trade conducted by the National Council for Training in Vocational Trade may also eligible to apply.

(IV)        Candidates who qualify in the test of physical fitness shall be eligible to appear in tests comprising the following papers namely:-

(a) General Awareness(for Revenue Inspector only)                -100 marks

(b) Arithmetic                                                        -100 Marks

(c) Computer(written test)                                        - 50 marks

(d) Computer(Practical Test)                                        - 50 marks

(e) Handwriting in odiya                                        - 50 Marks

 (V)        HOW TO APPLY: The complete Application in the prescribed format duly filled in by the applicant in his/her own hand writing in Bold Capital Letter in Blue/Black Ball pen along with the required documents shall be submitted in a Envelope superscribed “Application for the Post of ________________(write Revenue Inspector/Amin/A.R.I.) Category________(Write SC/ST) in the address to the  COLLECTOR AND DISTRICT MAGISTRATE, RAYAGADA, DISTRICT- RAYAGADA-765001 through Register/Speed Post only on or before 20.01.2012.  The authority will be no way responsible for any postal delay.

DOCUMENTS TO BE FURNISHED ALONGWITH THE APPLICATION FORM.

        The candidate shall furnish application with self attested copies of all relevant certificates and mark sheets including those relating to minimum educational qualifications,Caste Certificate in case of SC,ST,OBC, residence certificate of Rayagada District, certificate of work experience in settlement or

Consolidation Organization granted by Settlement Officer or Deputy Director, Consolidation and All Indian Trade Test in Surveyor Trade conducted by the National Council for Training in Vocational Training if any. Besides he should also furnish (i) Valid Employment Registration Certificate (ii) Three recent passport size colour photographs duly attested with signature of the applicant in the front side out of which one is to be pasted in the appropriate place in the application form (iii) Two self-addressed envelope of 15” X 25” CM affixing postage Stamp worth Rs.25/- thereon. (The candidates shall be required to produce the original of the above said documents at the time of the tests, failing which he/she shall be liable to be disqualified.

(VI)        CONDITIONS:( i) The application shall be scrutinized to determine the eligibility and to make a screening of the candidates on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the High School(Class Ten) and percentage of marks obtained in Higher Secondary Examination(plus two) giving equal weightage. Candidates three times the combined number of vacancies of Revenue Inspector, Assistant Revenue Inspector and Amin shall ordinarily be called upon to appear the recruitment tests. (ii) The candidates applying for the posts of Amin and Assistant Revenue Inspector will also indicate their first and second preference for these posts in the application failing which it will be deemed that their first preference is for the post of Amin.(iii)The candidate shall be required to produce the originals of the above Certificate if selected in the recruitment tests, failing which he/she shall be liable to be disqualified. (iv) The selection will be held in accordance with the Orissa District Revenue Services Rules, 1983 as amended up-to-date. (v) No TA/DA will be allowed to attend the recruitment tests (vi) The incomplete application forms without any requisite documents or the application forms without signature of the applicant or the application forms received after the last date shall be summarily rejected without assigning any reason. (vii) Date, Time and Place of recruitment tests will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course. (viii) The authority reserves the right to reject any application and modify/cancel the advertisement examination without assigning any reasons thereof. (ix)The list of successful candidates drawn up in order of merit on the basis of the performance in the written test shall be equal to  the number of  vacancies advertised (x) Two separate merit lists shall be drawn up, one for the post of Revenue Inspector and another for the posts of Amins and Asst. Revenue Inspector. Candidates in order of merit shall be appointed against the available vacancies (xi) Inclusion in the merit list confers no right to appointment which shall depend, among other circumstances, on actual availability of vacancies.

NOTE:- Candidates working in the Settlement and Consolidation Organization shall submit their application through the Settlement Officer/Deputy Director, Consolidation. (2) The application form and details may also be downloaded from District website http://rayagada.nic.in. and also from http://rayagadainfo.blogspot.com.  The same will be available in all Block/Tahasil/Sub-Collector offices and Collectorate Notice Board of this District. Any omissions of/additions to the existing rules or any subsequent amendments there under for filling up these posts will be applicable to regulate this recruitment process.
