Extraordinary Life (G)
All the young dreamers say
You gotta be someone, do something great
You gotta get out there and change the world
But what about this normal girl
If I stay at home with my baby girl
I’ll probably never change the world
If I go to work from 8 to 5
Am I living well, am I doing right?
And if I die before I wake
And no one ever knows my name
But I lived by faith and not by sight
If blooming where I’m planted grow
And I love the Lord with all my soul
Then die
That’s an extraordinary life
I’m a pastor of a small town church
I’m a friend who loves a friend whose hurt
I’m a comfort to a dying man
I’m a mother, father, neighbor, friend
---
Now I’m not opposed to chasin dreams
Don’t take it like that, that’s not what I mean
But live faithfully til you hear that bell
In the ordinary days as well
