Twitter Book Club: Gerald W. Bracey (2009) Education Hell: Rhetoric vs. Reality–Transforming the Fire Consuming America's Schools

Currently Reading

Mike Rose (2009) Why School? Reclaiming Education for All of Us

I read Larry Cuban’s (1986) Teachers and Machines and while it was a decent primer on the issues of technology in the classroom I found nearly nothing to tweet about that he didn’t already say in Oversold and Underused.

Kevin Kelly (2010) What Technology Wants

I wanted to include Ira Socol’s The Drool Room in my Twitter Book Club tweets but the nature of this book didn’t lend itself very well to short quotable statements.  It is a novel and one that every educator should read as it brings the reader on a journey from the other side of the desk.
