Short description: | In this project, students will learn about children’s rights: basic needs of having parents, food, education, etc. Through the creation of animated movies, books and comics, wordclouds and mind-maps, quizzes and games they will learn about what’s right, what’s not, and discuss their thoughts together during a video conferencing session. | |
Goals: | Cognitive: Students will learn important issues on children rights; improve their English and ICT skills. Affective; Students will develop their interpersonal skills through the communication with their partners• Psychomotor: Students will develop their artistic skills and talents. | |

Week 1 | Learn something about each other - Introduce ourselves on TwinSpace, on Pupil’s Corner, through emails and the TwinSpace’s blog. Students’ school, town, country, ages, intrests are shared. | X |
Weeks 2 & 3 | Teachers will help students with research into children’s rights. Children will use the Internet to gather information and put everything together by using a Webquest | Y |
Weeks 4 | Resources such as powerpoints and pictures, wordclouds and mind-maps start being uploaded on TwinSpace. Web Conferencing Session can be organised so that students learn from each other’s findings. | Z |
Weeks 6 & 7 | Students use ToonDoo (www.toondoo.com) to create online comic strips and books to tell each other stories that teach us about the importance of children’s rights. | X |
Week 8&9 | Students direct and create their own movies using Dvolver, http://dvolver.com/live/home.html. Once again they will be telling stories which highlight the importance of children’s rights, and the lack of in certain parts of the world. | Y |
Week 10 | Final web conferencing session, where students discuss what could be done for children’s rights all over the world...especially with regards to spreading the message Consolidation through word-puzzles, quizzes and games played on-line. | Z |
