Question/Answer
Gesture: Touch tip of pointers to tips of thumbs then pull the hands apart like pulling a string apart.
Every question the teacher asks of a student, should be answered with a complete sentence that includes words from the question.
Adder
Gesture: The teacher points her forefingers at each other and rolls them, as if saying, “more!”
The Adder compliments the Question Answer. When students respond to the teacher’s query, the Adder
supplements their answer with new information.
Concluder
Gesture: The teacher crosses one hand above the other, as if saying “safe” or “the play is over”.
The Concluder compliments the Adder and Question Answer. When students respond to the teacher’s query, the Adder supplements their answer with new information and the Concluder brings the answer to a close.
