For this assignment you are expected to use your blog to communicate your progress on the Group Leadership Project as well as provide feedback to your peers. Using a storyboarding tool of your choice create a storyboard that includes sketches for each scene, detailed notes on titles, transitions, special effects, sound, etc. The storyboard should reflect outstanding planning and organization for the visuals in the video.
In addition you will need to create a detailed script that accompanies the storyboard. The script should indicate not only what will be said but how it will be said. Remember, the more time you put into the script and storyboard the less time you will spend with editing the final product.
Each group member will post the storyboard and script to their blogs indicating which areas they worked on and how the work of the final product will be distributed. PLEASE NOTE: It is NOT a requirement that all group members participate in the final product as "actors". It is up to the group how you divide up the work. One group member may chose to create the presentation, while another group member lends their "voice" to the video, while another group member does all the final editing. It is totally up to you as a group. However it is expected that each group member equally participates in the workload of the final product.
Here is my part of the script indicated in green. Text in red indicates the slide that corresponds in our Google Presentation. It is written in a way in which when a slide is indicated in red, you change or click to that new slide.-Shannon ( I created slides 1-25)
Hello All, my text will be indicated in purple. Like Shannon’s the text in Red will indicate the slide that corresponds in the Google Presentation. I will add slides directly after Shannon’s portion on content to correspond with the great introduction that she created! -- Sami (I created slides 26-33)
Hello Team HS! We are doing great so far! Thanks to you all for your work! My text will be noted in blue. My slides are currently #s 46 to 61. Thanks for your work getting this started!
Kathy
Hello Team, Things are looking great! My text is in orange and slide numbers have red text. My slides are 34-45. Thank you for your hard work, and let’s keep it going! Scott

Slide #26-
“Sometimes text and links are just not enough. If a student misses a lecture or specific instruction, a video recording or screencast of the material will help the student get caught up or review content that they are struggling with.”
Slide #27-“Similar to adding content, adding a video also uses the drag and drop function in Weebly. However, the drag and drop option for embedding a video or screencast of your own, is limited to those that subscribe to the pro version of Weebly. This is a very simple option and the process of adding a video is the same as adding text/content that was describe previously.” (In the video I will show where the functions are located in Weebly)
Slide #28- “Don’t be deterred by the limited options for adding video directly into your Weebly. There are a couple of ways around it.”

“A generic video will start to play. Click on the video and a drop down appears where you can enter a URL address.”(Take the user through the various steps for uploading a YouTube video to Weebly)
Slide #33- (Transition back to YouTube, locate Jing, copy corresponding URL)“Go back to your uploaded YouTube and copy the URL address. (Transition back to the Weebly page) Paste this URL in the box on your Weebly page. The video will appear.” This is a great way to insert original videos and screencasts into your Weebly page. Videos will create variety and appeal to various learning styles and levels.
Slide 34-My students have high absentee rates which frequently results in them falling behind so a terrific opportunity exists to provide a platform that gives students a chance to access homework assignments and notes. A bonus is that I can provide video and audio tutorials and extra practice.
Slide 35-First, register for an account. If you have an account, go to Weebly.com, logon to your account, and click the edit link for the page you want to work on.
Slide 36-To add pages to your website, click on the "Pages" link, then click on "Add Page." As you can see, I entered multiple pages.
Slide 37-You can design pages for each of your classes.
Slide 38- You can drag any of the elements that don’t require you to buy the upgraded version of Weebly down your page. Elements allow you to add titles, text, video, forms, and change the layout. I use the “Two Column Layout” and “Title” elements most frequently.
Slide 39-I like to start with the "Two Column Layout" because it allows me use the page horizontally to upload files for each chapter or topic I teach. From here, I can drag elements into each column.
Slide 40-To upload files to a page, click on "Elements" at the top of the page, then click on "Multimedia" on the left side. From here, drag the "File" icon to your desired location. This will allow you to upload assignments, notes, or whatever you would like your students to access.
Slide 41-Here, I am dragging the "File" icon to the section of the page I want it to be located. You can adjust or delete anything you enter onto the page by dragging or clicking on a red "x" that appears near the file when you move the cursor arrow nearby.
Slide 42-Uploading files is easy! After clicking on "Click here to upload new file," a blue bar appears, and you will want to click on "Upload new file."
Slide 43-After you click "Upload new file," a window will open. Next, find the file you want to upload and double-click to upload it.
Slide 44- Voila! You've uploaded an assignment your students can download, print, and enjoy! Also, you can design polls, upload videos, tutorials, notes, and more to help kids succeed.
Slide 45- For students who have been absent or need help, I've added a page that has links to sites that have quality tutorials. My favorite site is Khan Academy because it offers videos and excellent practice opportunities.
Slicde # 46- Many teachers, students, and parents are enjoying the benefits of classroom blogging.
Slide # 47 And you may already maintain a classroom blog in Blogger, or another site. Weebly also has a blogging feature. This eliminates the need for other accounts, you can keep your blog right in your Weebly site. This is easier for both you and your students.
Slide # 48 The blog feature in Weebly is simple to use as it has the same drag and drop interface, making it easy and fun to blog, right in the Weebly site. In fact, the company maintains it's own blog using the Weebly blogging engine.
Slide # 49 - The Weebly blogging engine has all of the features you would expect from other blogging services, including a blogging post editor (which uses the drag-and-drop format), comment and moderation controls, time zone and date format options, automatic archiving of blog posts by month, read more breaks for longer posts, and more.
Slide # 50 - Adding a blog in Weebly is easy. First, go to the Pages tab of the editor and click on the Add Blog button. If you have not added a blog to your site before, the option will read "New" blog instead of Add blog.
Slide # 51 -Next. add the name of your blog in the page name box.
Slide # 52- Clicking save settings will add the blog to your list of pages on the left side of your screen.
Slide # 53 - Next, click on the edit page option to start adding content to the new blog.
Slide # 54 - This will lead you to a new blog with a sample post. You can edit that post, or delete it and start from scratch. There will also be a sidebar with some default content that you can edit or delete too.
Slide #55 - Click on the new post button at the top of the blog to create a post for your blog.
Slide # 56 - Blogs should have a title and a content area. First, click into the title box and type in your Blog post title. Then. click into the larger box below to add text to your blog in the content area. It's as easy as that. Of cour5se, clicl Publish Live to publish the blog, or save it to Drafts if you aren't ready for everyone to see it yet.
Slide # 57 - You can add other content to your blog posts in Weebly too. For example, I added some text to this post and now I'd like to add a picture. Click on the Picture button in the Elements section above and drag it right under the blog text.
Slide # 58 - Weebly will ask you to select an image from your computer, a photo gallery, or the Internet. I am going to add a pic I saved in a file on my desktop. So I will click Choose file.
Slide # 59 - Of course, this prompts me to look in my computer for the file I want. I click on the file and hit open. Then Weebly uploads and saves the file into the blog post.
Slide # 60- Weebly blog options include more, but they all include the same basic format, drag and drop which is easy to remember and use. Just be sure you are on the Elements tab in the work area above to click and drag elements like pictures, you tube videos, and read more breaks to your blog postings.
Slide # 61 - Every new blog post that you add will appear at the top of the Blog page. Older posts will be below in the order that they were added. If you blog alot, and have added 7 or 8 posts, Weebly will move older posts off the main page into archive pages for the month they were published.
Conclusion
Slide # 63 - Imagine, with just a bit of work, you can create a robust and useful Weebly website to compliment your class.
Slide # 64 - Next time a student who missed class may not even need to ask you what they missed.
Slide # 65 - They will know that the Weebly site has what they need, and they can use the tools you provided to come to class prepared instead of behind.
Slide # 66 - Even further, the site can serve as a tool to compliment your classroom instruction. Students can interact with the course content, with you, and with each other through the site taking their learning to another level.
Slide # 67 -Have fun and teach more with Weebly!
