AUDACITY PROJECT REVIEW

Our group, containing Jenny, Rosie, Polly, and me, were working on a project to make a commercial in the last few weeks. We had 2 options: to make a PSA, or a commercial, persuading our audience to buy our product. We chose to make the commercial because none of our groups members had worked on something like this before, and we thought it might be interesting to work on something new together. While working on our project the first time, there were some kind of errors going on, which makes Audacity lose all of our stuffs which are the recordings and also the sound effects, and so, we had to do the project all over again. The result turned out really good in my opinion. We now knew what to do, and even speak faster than before, creating the result that the audience aren’t going to get bored and would walk away. We also put sound effects in a better kind of way. We cut the parts when it’s not needed, and we also knew what to do when it’s all messed up. Our plan worked really well at last, since we “kind-of” follow our script and running order, we changed much of it actually though, to make the commercial turn out less time being used, so it won’t get boring. We cut out lines that weren’t needed, sound effects, ect… And at last, the project turned out really really good in my opinion, and so did the others’.What I learned from this project so far, is how to import a sound, or even other things into Audacity; changing our voices’ volumes to make it louder/softer; changing the pitches and things like that with our voices; and lastly, turn the Audacity file into a mp3 kind of file, and add the picture of our choices in. Even though it turns out better than before, there were something we need to improve too. Like the volumes and tones we were supposed to use while recording, to make it more interesting and convincing. But overall, I personally think if we had more time to work on this, the project would be way better, since we lost our first draft, and so, we had to redo it again in only 30 minutes. Still though, in that amount of time, we really put a lot of efforts in, to get this all done, but for some reasons, our voices weren’t so emotional than before. But, at last, I thought our group did a really good job on this, and we also put in a lot of efforts to get this all done perfectly, but actually turned out wasn’t that good as expected. Afterall, I thought it was good to have a project like this in ICT, to improve more on our teamwork and work things together out better. I really do hope our group could do this again. I thought we made just an awesome job what a group needs to do.
