Multimedia super machine^[1]

Please add extra functions, interfaces, supported formats for a multimedia machine that you could (or would like to) link up to your TV and hifi system so you can fully enjoy the world.

Please be realistic. There is no need for the machine to make coffee as well...

The specs above are hardware specs and not really what I am looking for. I want to know what the machine should do and I am not directly looking for a PC just for machine to link up to a cable modem or satelitte receiver and to a TV and/or HIFI sound system.
