Step-by-Step Guide for Item Makers
Do not worry if you do not understand! Just do what you know, and Endistic or other Item Makers can handle the rest.
First off, make sure you are in dev mode by typing /dev.
Depending on your item, grab the following items:
Once you have these, it’s time to get the material of the item. Hold the item and type:
This will tell Wynncraft’s pack that this is a custom item, and make the item look nice, and not have durability.
Next, setup the name and lore.
Give the item the name of your choice, starting with a color code stated above, with some examples here:
“&dKing of Hearts” (Rare Item)
“&bOrange Lily” (Legendary Item)
“&eWasteland Azalea” (Unique Boots)
Then, approach the lore/description of your item. This will tell players what stats the item has.
If you have an armor piece, start it off with the following:
Next, add the IDs of the item, using this pattern:
This includes skill points!
Then at the bottom, go back to the color codes you used for the name, and type:
If you are making a weapon, the process is similar.
Follow the same process up until the part where you setup the lore, as armor is different.
Instead of starting out like the before, start off with the following:
Then, depending on the elemental damages of the weapon, do this:
Then, type this:
After that, you do the same ID process as the armors.
After the lore, add the Item Tags with the guide at the top of the document. This is how the code will understand the stats of your item. If you need a stat that is not present, and is not anything of the following, please let Endistic or Enderae know:
If you make a mistake, the following commands may help:
After that, look for the Lapis Lazuli block on the bottom floor. It should have a sign on it saying “FUNCTION” and “Item Database”. Then, insert your item into any of the chests. Endistic will handle organizing it and keeping things in order.
If you wanna test your item in game, type /play to enter play mode, and test it out!
If you’d like some examples on how these should look, look in those same chests.
As always, thank you for being part of the Wynn Recreation team! Even if you only help a little bit, it is greatly appreciated to save us some time.
Unfortunately, due to the place where we’re working on things require you to pay to access WorldEdit, you can not use regular WorldEdit or VoxelSniper. However, I am working on an in-built system to allow you to build similar to you would with these tools.
Please come back later.
Concept Maker is probably the easiest role by far. If you have any ideas or concepts you want to see, drop them to either Endistic#3726 on Discord, or Endistic on forums, and Endistic will code them in when he gets the chance.
Feel free to contribute and add to this list if you have anything that needs to be coded!
This list is mostly for Endistic, but I’m gonna leave this public so that people can make sure progress is still being done on the project.
