Manny types of figurative language is : simile, metaphor, and personification

simile - compares two similar things using like or as

example:

love is like a blossom

metaphor-figure of speech that makes a comparison between two unlike things with out a connective word such as like, as, than, or resembles

example:

love bursts into a blossom

personification- the kind of metaphor were in which a non human thing or quality is talked about as if it were human

examples:

the sky is grouchy gray
