1. The trends among our group for this lab were that we all made agreements on how many fish to take. We were all even until the end, when three of us let the other take the remaining resources.
2. It is possible to maximize everything. You just have to plan for the future. In the beginning you must take the least amount of fish possible for a few turns, so the fish population grows. Then towards the end every member can take large amounts of fish.
3. The strategy of our group was to take appropriate amounts of fish as to not deplete them but also to survive and thrive as nations. We all had a deal to take the proper amount of fish so we could be even and fair.
4. As little as possible at the beginning, so the fish double each time. Then take more towards the end.
5. The limitations to this activity are mostly related to its directions. I know within our group, at least, we were confused very much so about what was going on. We had no idea we were all different nations within our own group. If we had realized that we would have gone about the activity a lot differently. Also, the data table was organized improperly. As for limitations not related to directional error, the fact that there are only four nations could be a limitation. The world is a lot more complex than four nations. You may be able to reach an agreement among four nations, but if every person in the class was a nation in the world and they were competing for the same resources then you would be hard pressed to reach an agreement between all members. I think this would lead to a slightly more interesting activity. Another limitation is the fish population. There are many other factors affecting the population, and it will almost certainly not double from season to season. But I suppose this is just a scaled down and simplified version of the resource, so I guess it makes sense to do this.
6. I have used water, air, forests, and animals in the last month. Water for drinking; air for breathing; forests for paper, exercise, and enjoyment; and animals for food and enjoyments.
