I have been reminded of late that the end-game stage of WoW is really only for those who have time to commit to it. Dungeons, raiding, and PvP are all gear dependent, and all of it takes a large amount of time. There’s a link on the left that goes to my “main” however I no longer have a desire to play her (or any other character) as I find the experience unfullfilling and fruitless. I will likely log in on occassion to play with friends, but that will be about it and that’s assuming I get a call asking me to play. Does that mean the last 3 months were wasted? No, I enjoyed the story telling and questing in the game, and it was cool to see the improvements Blizzard had made.
On a more positive note, I’ve been enjoying Blender 2.5, MineCraft 1.3b, and will likely enjoy StarCraft once I start to play it again. More importantly I’ll be writing more, as I am starting to feel the desire strongly once again. There are some pretty significant changes being made to one of the characters of novel, and I can see a path forward where I was stalled for over a year. Does that mean I had writer’s block for the last 12 months? Sure, why not.
Side-note: I’m totally getting into electronic music, and will probably be investing in some midi/sequencing software before too long. ^_^
