Tuesday 12/18-Wear Red to School Day (Positive Mental Health Day) Lunch Activity is Christmas Game.

Wednesday 12/19-Wear Green (Positive Mentor Day) Lunch Activity is an Escape Room

Thursday 12/20-  Wear Black for Generosity.   Spirit Assembly (Schedule will Follow)

Friday 12/21-Ugly Sweater Day / Holiday Spirit Day . Santa Hats are Encouraged. Winter Event (Games and Schedule to Follow).

BOYS BASKETBALL TONIGHT 12/13- 7/8th VAR here vs Sequim @ 4 & 5:15 PM.  8th JR VAR -Roosevelt  @ 4 pm. 

WRESTLING- If you missed the meeting please see Mr Soule in Room 9 to sign up and get the paperwork. Also,  6th Grade Opportunity to join Middle School team.   Informational meeting, Wednesday, Dec 19th at 7 pm in the Stevens Library.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS

Want to start a club at Stevens, find ten friends with similar interest, find a teacher willing to be your advisor, pick up a form from Miss McComb, fill it out, turn it in.  The ASB council will approve it and your club can begin!!

Cheerleaders/Pep Squad--Squad members will meet every Tuesday & Fridays in the Library at 3:15 pm with activities dependending on the sport season.  All persons are encouraged to attend meetings and promote our Stampeder pride!  (updated  11/5/18)

Honor Society Club-- Stay tuned for the schedule.  Starts 1st week in November.  Please see Mrs. Day if you are interested.

Card Playing and Trading Club-- each Tuesday from 3:10 to 4:00, in room #5, beginning Oct. 16th! You must remember to arrange your ride home afterwards.

Zero Zeroes -- Make sure that you get all of your work completed and don’t forget to turn it in. Check your binder every day and make sure that you remembered to turn in your work. We know that several of you have completed work in your binder right now that you have forgotten to turn in.

Reminder. Please do not tape or staple anything to our newly painted hallway walls. Let Randy know if you need to hang any materials and he can mount a permanent cork strip on the wall.

Weekly Lunch Special: Dec 10-14,  2018

12/10-Breakfast 4 lunch.  Cheese omelet, Dutch waggle, Sausage links

12/11- Deli Bar to Order, chips

12/12-Teriyaki beef & Broccoli, Rice bowl, Asian veggies

12/13-Baked honey glazed ham, Cheese mashed potatoes, WG roll, green beans, Apple cranberry crisp

12/14- FRY FRIDAY  Philly cheese steak fries, WG roll

Everyday Choices of pizza, sandwiches, and Fiesta Bar are always available. Seventh grade lunch begins at 11:48 and Eighth grade lunch will begin at 12:09. Wednesday lunches start at 11:48 and 12:09.

RULE REMINDER

Electronics should be turned off at the start of the school day. No music in the halls or in the lunchroom. Music/Headphones are only allowed in classrooms with permission from the teacher.

SPORTS

WRESTLING:  Wrestling season is fast approaching.  There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12 in Mr Soules Room 9 at 9:00 AM. (This is a late start Wednesday)

7th and 8th grade, boys and girls are all welcome to attend.  No experience is needed and it is a no cut sport.  Come learn more about this amazing sport.

Clallam Transit is sponsoring 7th graders on how to ride a city bus all week in 25-30 min sessions with their teaching teams.

Monday will be full gear practice and Tuesday will be helmets and cleats walk through.

Wednesday; because there is no school there is no bus transportation, parents/guardians will need to get their players to and from the games that are being played at Civic Field on Race St in Port Angeles.

JV game at 4:00 pm, please have player(s) there by 3pm.

Varsity game to follow at approximately 5:30pm, please have player(s) there before 5pm.

If your player(s) need rides to/from games please try to get them to buddy up with a fellow player or let coaches-Jason Meadows or Mike McMahan know if they need help getting a ride.

We are playing Forks Middle School under the lights on Halloween which means they won’t get the chance to trick or treat by the time the game is over and they get home. We are planning to provide snacks/candy for their team(s). If you want to pitch in, let me Jason or Mike know!!! (10/30/18)

Parent Conferences

Students, remember to tell your parents to contact teachers and make arrangements for parent conferences. Conferences begin Wednesday, October 31. NO SCHOOL!   ½ days Nov 1st & 2nd.  (Updated 10/29/18)

CLUB INFORMATION
If you want to start a club:

1. Decide what kind of club you want. Drama Club, Math Club, Engineering Club, Singing Club, MineCraft Club…. Whatever you are interested in.
2. Gather a group of others interested.
3. Get a club application in the office.
3. Sign up your group.
4. Ask a teacher to sponsor you come up with a time.
5. Get it approved by Mrs. McComb or Mr. Stevens.
6. Enjoy and do great things.
