It is highly encouraged that you read through the entire terms of service before commissioning me to make the process as smooth and easy as possible. Most questions and concerns will be answered here. These terms also apply to any kofi membership rewards or other artwork received for-payment to me.
By purchasing artwork you are agreeing to these terms.

Do’s and Don'ts

Happy to work with…

• Furry (anthro and “feral”)
• Human/Humanoid
• Simple robot/mech/metallic characters/textures
• Prosthetic limbs etc
• Simple and medium complexity backgrounds

Please ask first…

• Suggestive content (I’m usually happy to work with these but like to take them on a case-by-case basis!)  
• High complexity backgrounds (crowd scenes etc) may incur higher price
• More complex animations or comic sequences may incur a higher price
• Equine/horses/ponies (I don’t have much experience with these…)
• More complex mech/robotics
• Guns/weaponry (often depends on complexity/level of detail wanted)
• Super muscular characters

Absolutely not…

• Explicit kink/NSFW
• Hateful or offensive themes and imagery.
• Anything in someone else’s style- if you want that style of art commission someone who has open examples of it!
• Anything that makes me uncomfy, you can always ask, but I have the final say

* Additional complexity prices vary but will always be discussed with the client, these can be paid alongside the initial payment if pre-discussed or later on as a ko-fi donation.

* I typically colour pick directly from references provided, however I avoid pure white/black, and may slightly tint colours to work around this. Colours may also appear differently as a result of lighting effects, if you would like a flat colour version of your commission alongside shaded feel free to ask.

* Finished commissions are delivered via Discord, Ko-fi or Email/Google Drive (sometimes Twitter, however file types/sizes are limited)
* Please note that animation commissions, especially complex ones, should expect a longer turnaround time and I may accept additional smaller commissions whilst working on these as to not hold up my queue with one project at a time.
* I expect that in any illustration containing multiple characters who belong to multiple individuals, that every individual consents to their characters/images being used in this scene. If this is not the case then I have the right to deny the commission. If the artwork has already been completed without me having been informed, then please notify me as soon as possible. I will gladly remove any instances from social media and blacklist the original client who failed to respect your boundaries.

The Process

• I accept public commissions in batches which will be announced on my twitter and in my discord server. Sometimes I also allow trusted customers to reserve slots in advance. (Due to ko-fi’s limitations, this can result in slots appearing open without my public announcement, as I open them manually for private clients. Please only purchase a commission directly if I have announced the current batch publicly as you may be taking someone else’s slot).
• You review the TOS then submit the kofi order. If your commission request has something to do with “Please ask first…” from above or any other inquiries then review with me first via twitter or discord DMs
• I will contact you and confirm information and or details if necessary. I will typically also direct you to my trello to keep track of your queue position.
• Due to taking commissions in batches please note that you could be waiting a little while before I get to working on it, please allow around a month for me to work on your commission (this time may vary based on complexity and external circumstances, but this is what I will aim for)!
• I can provide WIPs for the sketch, flat colours and shaded stages. The sketch phase is for major adjustments if needed. Flat colour and shaded phases only allow for minor adjustments as needed.
• Unless requested otherwise, I may also work on your commission on stream (either publicly on twitch or in my community discord server) or record a speedpaint/timelapse that may be used in my social media content. This may allow for extra feedback from you if you choose to watch, however I do this of my own choice and cannot promise I will work on any commission on stream.
• Once completed and agreed upon I shall mark the commission as complete on my trello page and send you any additional files if necessary. I usually schedule social media posts ahead of time, if you have a specific date you’d like for the art to go public please let me know in advance.
• Thank you for working with me!

Payment/Refund/Cancellations

• I receive my payments in GBP, my local currency, the buyer is responsible for any additional fees due to this in order to complete the transaction.
• Tips are never required and are a courtesy towards the artist.
• Payment plans are currently unavailable as they are not supported by ko-fi.
• Cancellations and refunds are not accepted under most circumstances. Below are the outlined reasons and their following processes.
• Personal Emergency - These sort of things are rare and (hopefully) won’t happen, however in the case that I am unable to complete your drawing for the foreseeable future, I will discuss the potential of a refund (with the amount depending on progress made with the commission so far). This does not include short term events which may briefly interfere with my work but do not prevent me from completing it at a slightly later date.
• Abusive Client - If you have breached my TOS and are unpleasant to work with I hold the right to cancel your commission. Please keep the commission process lighthearted, friendly, and professional to avoid this, I will try and give warnings where I can if I fear this is an issue. The amount refunded depends on the stage of work completed before this point. If this situation occurs then I am sorry you are unsatisfied but understand that I have accurate and up to date examples of all my art. You know what you are paying for. All abusive clients will be blacklisted as I am not comfortable working with you anymore.
• Cancelled commissions before work is started - This happens when I feel that I cannot draw what you have commissioned me for, I apologise for the inconvenience and you are eligible for a 100% refund as long as I have not yet started the work. I do my best to review forms when I receive them via ko-fi, and if I’m unsure about my ability to fulfil a job then I will contact you first to discuss options, however I always recommend you look over my Do’s and Don’ts in advance of placing in order to avoid this situation.

Art Usage

• The artist (zilluzion) still retains all creative rights to all artwork created by commission.
• The artist (zilluzion) is only allowed to use your finished commission for promotional and example use.
• The client needs to explicitly state if they wish the commission to be kept private, or have its publication delayed for some reason (surprise gift, etc). Otherwise, the artist is free to share progress images and stream their work, and the final picture will be posted on social media for advertising purposes.
• Most commissions are intended for private use, however if you intend to use my work for commercial use please discuss this with me; as the type of use will impact my decision on any price increases. see below

• Artwork used for live streaming assets/layouts and social media profile pictures/banners incur no extra cost
• However, instances where the artwork is used for the client to directly profit from the art may incur extra fees which ought to be discussed with the client, with the size of these fees varying depending on the size of the art and the size of the individual/company using my work. Examples being using the finished picture for merch, cover for a book, as a postcard patron reward etc.
• I will never support or allow my art to be used for AI datasets or NFT technologies.

• You may repost your commission to any site you wish. Credit is not required but greatly appreciated. If you do tag me on a website where I have my own account please do so in a way that links directly to my account (eg. @zilluzion, not @/zilluzion). If I do not have an account on your platform please link to my carrd.
• If uploading an emote to Twitch, please make use of the emote attribution feature to properly credit me (see this article for more info), my username on Twitch is zilluzion.
• Never edit my artwork, if you happen to notice a mistake or need a small change even after the commission process is finished feel free to reach out to me to see if I can fix it. Try to keep the timeframe of post commission changes “reasonable”.
