Introduction

The Meditation Chapel Calendar lists all of the meditation groups that meet on Meditation Chapel. It is the easiest way for you to find groups that meet your interests and your time constraints.

Time Zones

The times shown for meeting times are shown in your local time zone. By default, your time zone is assumed to be the time zone your computer is in.

In the above picture, if you are in a different time zone, say, Eastern Time, you would see the exact same groups shown one hour later.

You can see what time zone the calendar thinks you are in at the lower right hand of the calendar:

In the unlikely event that your time zone is wrong, you can click on the time zone and change it to another.

Turning Details On or Off

There are two possible views of the calendar: with and without group detail. In general, it is easier to scan without details and then click on a group name to see the details of that group. Details are turned on or off with the details box:

If the box is empty, details are turned off. Try turning this box on and off to see the difference.

Searching for a Group

Searching for groups is called “filtering.” You can filter by Group ID (assuming you know the Group ID), Chapel, Faith Tradition, and others. First, you need to open the Filter Area, if it is closed. To open the Filter Area, click on the down arrow next to the word “Filter.”

Once the filter area is open, it looks like this:

To search for a group by ID, type in the group ID into the keyword area. To search by Chapel, Affiliation, Language, or Faith Tradition, click on one of those areas.

You can search for virtually anything in the keyword area. If that text appears anyplace in the group description. the group will show up in the listing.

To reset your search, click on “Clear.”

Going to a Chapel

Once you know a group meets in a particular chapel, how do you get to that chapel? You need to know the URL of the chapel. We do not list them on the website for security reasons. When you registered, you were sent an email with a link to the Welcome page that lists the chapel URLs (among a lot of other information). If you have lost that, send Roger Sessions an email, and he can send you another. His email is listed in the facilitator emails at the end of this document.

Requesting Changes to a Listing

Only calendar administrators can change group listings. If you would like a change to the listing of your group, send an email to Donna Belk (donnabelk@gmail.com) with the requested change. Include in the request the Group ID of the group that needs changing. You can find the group ID at the end of the details about the group:

If you don’t see the Group ID, be sure to turn on details (see the section on Details)
