UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL DANCE CONTRACT
In order to promote a healthy, safe, enjoyable evening for all students, all parents and students must read and sign the following contract
TICKET SALES: Student must have a completed, signed contract and CURRENT school ID to purchase ticket.
Monday, 9/11 through Friday, 9/15 ASB Card: $20 per ticket; ID Card Only: $30 per ticket
Monday, 9/18 through Friday, 9/29 ASB Card: $25 per ticket; ID Card Only: $35 per ticket
Monday, 10/2 through Friday 10/6 ASB Card: $30 per ticket; ID Card Only: $40 per ticket
After 12:53 pm on Oct. 6, tickets will be available at the door for $50 for UHS STUDENTS ONLY! Completed Permission Forms and school ID must be presented when purchasing tickets at door.
UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL DANCE RULES AND GUIDELINES
In order to promote a healthy, safe, enjoyable evening at school dances for all students, all parents and students must read and sign the following contract. It outlines all pertinent information about all school dances and the expected behavior for all students.
All of the following are prohibited and may result in removal from the dance, or a change of apparel:
*Dress/skirts that are inappropriately short
*Dress/Skirt slits that are inappropriately high
*Backless garments that extend below the waist.
*Exposed undergarments/see through dresses/bare sides and midriffs
*Excessively low cut tops
*Bandanas, chains, or canes
Any of the below violations will result in the defined consequence:
*Freak Dancing *Inappropriate touching *Prolonged public displays of affection (making out)
First violation = ID confiscated to be claimed from administrator after the dance.
Second Violation = Immediate removal from dance, ID to be collected on next school day, documented in discipline file.
UHS upholds the IUSD zero tolerance policy. Any students suspected of drinking alcohol will be subject to a Breathalyzer test. Students found under the influence of any controlled substance, will be suspended immediately. The rules in the Dance Contract herein are a supplement to University High School's and Irvine Unified School District’s broad, discretionary authority to maintain safety, order and discipline inside the school zone or on premises of off-site school events. These rules support, but do not limit, our authority. Students are discouraged from bringing any valuables that will not remain on their person throughout the duration of the dance. These items are often stowed in a corner and later reported lost, stolen or vandalized. UHS and IUSD are in no way responsible for lost, stolen or vandalized items.
Latest arrival time to the dance will be one hour after opening. No refunds if the arrival time is missed, or if a student is removed, no re-admittance once student has left.
Students are expected to be picked up from the dance no later than 15 minutes after the dance is over. In case of an infraction involving a minor, a parent will be contacted to pick up their student from the dance. In the event that they can’t be reached, the incident will be referred to the Irvine Police Department.

All non-University students must have an administrator’s signature from their school, a valid school or state issued photo ID and must be accompanied by a University student in order to be admitted to the dance. Guests must be under the age of 21 and in at least 9th grade. Guests are the responsibility of the UHS student who is bringing them.
