And just like that another fantastic swimming and diving season is in the books! Coach Jedow led our Churchill Men in a strong showing at The 2018 UIL State Meet. Our Chargers placed 18th overall, that’s in the entire huge state of Texas! Thank You Coach Jedow! Congratulations on some really fast swimming!

Churchill Men are 2018 UIL Region VII-6A Champions!!
Congratulations to WC Men's Swim team for recapturing the Region VII-6A championship that has eluded WC Swim since 2012! The women placed 8th overall in the Region! Combined scores earned Churchill a 2nd place win in Region VII-6A overall. There will be 4 swimmers moving on the the state swim meet, Wyatt Cronk, Jake Peterson, Samuel Player and Samuel Willstrop in UT Austin on 2/16 & 2/17. All four earned a spot with a 2nd place win for the 200 Medley Relay and 1st for the 400 Free Relay. Wyatt Cronk qualified for State in his individual events, 1st place in 500 Free and 2nd in 200 Free. Jake Peterson qualified for State in his individual events, 2nd place in 200 IM and 100 Butterfly. Samuel Willstrop qualified for State in his individual events, 2nd in 50 Free and 2nd place in 100 Breaststroke. Saumuel Player got the "call up" call for his 100 Free and Steven Gillen, Gabe Allen and Garrett Guilet have been named as relay alternates! Congratulations at All additional swimmers who swam in regionals this past weekend!

Churchill Men are 2018 UIL District 26-6A Champions!!
The Churchill Men's Swim Team won the 2018 UIL 26-6A District Championship meet and the Women Swim Team took 3rd place. Combined scores earned Churchill 2nd place in the district overall. There will be 19 swimmers advancing to the 2018 UIL Region VII-6A Swimming and Diving Championship on Feb. 2nd & 3rd. Congratulation to all swimmers who participated in district competition this past weekend.
Swim Coach Jedow was awarded the Men’s “Coach of the Meet”. Senior Samuel Willstrop earned “Swimmer of the Meet” AND he broke a 27 year district record in his 100 Breaststroke with a time of 57.01! Congratulations Sam!! The 200 Yard Medley Relay with Samuel Player, Samuel Willstrop, Jake Peterson and Wyatt Cronk broke a 10 year district record with a time of 1:35.32! Way to go Men!!
