Daytime Rehearsal Information
When:
- OrchestraChoir called down at the beginning of 3rd period.
- OrchestraOnly called down at the end of 3rd period. (10:26)
Where: We will ride the bus and rehearse at Lakewood High School’s Civic Auditorium.
Checklist For Going to Rehearsal
- CELLO/BASS bring your instrument to school by Tuesday, May 7th
- VIOLA/VIOLIN - Instruments ride with you at your seat on the bus
- Orchestra Binder
- Orchestra Supplies (Rosin, rock stop for cello/bass, shoulder rest for violin/viola)
- In academic locker: Chromebook and Extra Materials
Checklist For Leaving/After Rehearsal
- Instrument and supplies placed in Civic Auditorium (you will see them later!)
- Bring your coat back on the bus
- Back at school - eat lunch then report to 6th period
Evening Concert Information

Student Rehearsal Expectations:
- Students must remain quiet and respectful, ready to listen and follow all directions from teachers, staff, and high school helpers.
Any indication in the classroom that a student would not display this behavior at the rehearsal will result in the student remaining at the school and missing the rehearsal. Even if a student is not permitted to go to the rehearsal, they still are required to attend the performance that evening.
Student Concert Expectations:
- Students are required to stay for the entire concert (approx. 45 minutes).
- Concert attendance is MANDATORY and part of each student’s grade in orchestra.
- Students are expected to display respectful behavior throughout the concert. Poor
behavior or outbursts will result in administrative disciplinary action.
- Silent while other groups are performing.
- Cell phone off and away.
- Applause is the only appropriate form of appreciation at concerts. Whistling and yelling are not permitted.
- Restrooms are to be used before or after the concert.
- Eating, drinking and gum chewing are not permitted.
Tickets:
- Tickets will be sold at the door starting at 6:30 p.m. Leave time to purchase tickets.
- Ticket prices are: Adults $2.00, Students & Seniors $1.00. Performing students are free.
- We can only accept cash (no credit) at the door. Exact change makes the line move faster.
- Electronic tickets available with a 75 cent convenience fee. (Pay cash at the door to avoid the

It is important that every child has a person in the audience supporting them. If you are unable to pay the ticket price, please contact us and we will make arrangements.
Concert Attire:
- All black top (ex. collared dress shirt, blouse, Lakewood Orchestra concert shirt).
- All black bottoms (PANTS - no skirts or dresses, socks, and black dress shoes).
This is a semi-formal concert. Please do not wear sneakers or sweatpants. If you own more than one pair of black pants (or shoes or shirts) please choose the nicest pair to wear to the concert. NO SKIRTS for orchestra performances.
