Bradford Cox of Deerhunter did music and it’s a visually unique doc, both in terms of its use of archival footage and various first, often nameless person narrators. It's interesting but I simply don't know if it's nearly as interesting as the premise/movie thinks it is? They’ve invented the question here (more or less), which is fine (more or less), but 77 minutes is either too much or not nearly enough time to transmit the idea or unpack it (depending on how you look at it). I’ve now watched all four of this guy’s documentaries so let’s rank ‘em!
